I live in Bognor currently as it happens. I'm a quantity surveyor, and we are building a Learning Resource Centre in connection with Chichester University.

    What you learning?

Not going to lie, that job sounds quite difficult!

I'm doing a level 2 business course at the moment. Nearly finished though... Got 1 assignment left! :D Then i'm doing the Level 3 course for another 2 years starting in September.

It is quite difficult, i'm learning myself. I'm doing a part time masters on top of full time work to give me a qualification in surveying.

Good luck with the assignment! Business studies is not easy; what are you looking to do after the two years?

To be honest, I don't actually know. I ain't planning on going to Uni (fees have massively put me off) so i'll probably end up looking for a job. I won't have finished college till June/July 2013 so i've got some time to plan everything.

Yer you've got loads of time to think about it, I never knew what to do, and I was a little wary about Uni.

I would keep your mind open for Uni though. Yes it is expensive, but the top qualifications make all the difference for getting a job, especialy considering how competitive it is for jobs atm. You get what you pay for, and it unlocks doors to more money. 9K is outrageous though. Cost me 3.3k back in 2006.

And of course the getting hammered, meeting people and shagging foreign woman is all worth it realy. It is true, it's the time of your life!

Hi mate, I'v just let out the dry-lining and partitions package as it happens, and its timber cladding and curtain walling externally; so unfortunately not!

All I can think of anyway.

Was it metal partitioning and double plating with soundproof boards?,i've been doing that in Ireland recently.

Dot and dab and plating timber studs and skimming is a peice of piss and the cowboys are getting all the graft, but metal partioning and the marking out and levels etc is beyond they're comprehesion.

    But ta anyway mate.

I'm just drawing up some tentative plans with a view to building a recording studio in my back garden.

    90% of the building/construction industry don't have a CLUE about acoustics/sound-proofing/transmission loss.

The other 10% charge a bloody fortune.
