http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/25874/williams-set-for-town-return Jonny Williams will sign a loan deal on Monday! The X Factor returns! Wow this will be amazing and the future looks better and better!
Just a bit concerned about how this effects Bishop but my team would be Gherkin Parr Chambers Berra Mings Hyam Skuse Bishop McGoldrick Joniesta Murphy
Well I'd imagine this means the end for a couple if true. I'd imagine, no offence to Henshall that means he'd be out on loan until Jan but Williams is twice the player and this will give him time to grow. Hunty must be wondering what's going on his end, but we've been fine without him thus far anyway!
Haha!! Bru is probably another who may struggle to kick a ball from now until Jan, OH WELL! If true Christmas has certainly come early and I really will believe top 6 is a very realistic proposition this season.
Part of me says that we should just stick with our own players instead of developing someone who we really have no chance of getting permanently. Then the other part of me says "Don't be so effin' stupid, if this helps us secure a place in the top six then we'd be stupid not to get him in" And do you know what? The whole of me agrees with the last part
I agree SD, lets bring him on and enjoy the creative flair, zip, teasing and free kicks he wins us all over the place. He def adds something and infuriates the opposition! Someone please tell me how many midfield players we now have? A test of Mick's management skills now, as we do have several youngsters worthy of a regular place, and need encouragement and 1st team experience. However, Jonny will boost our Play-off chances, keep the energy & positivity and team spirit on the up. Ticket sales will increaset too...whats not to like about ITFC right now?!
Weighty - Jonny Williams and Bishop are completely different players so I don't see how Williams arrival would impact Bishop hugely at all. It will certainly impact Ambrose/ Hunt/ Stewart/ Bru and Henshall - I'd imagine Henshall will be straight out on loan to hopefully a league 1 side until January which wouldn't be a disaster as he's hardly played any pro footy but looks a talent. But clearly right now Williams is twice the player so it's a massive upgrade. I am assuming Stewart's lovely run of injuries has made Mick think more so about this deal, he's going to need a decent amount of time to get properly fit. It SHOULD also mean the end in a 4-4-2 to Jay Tabb playing left midfield - surely.......!!!!! I do wonder how you're supposed to keep quite so many players happy, but that's down for Mick to do.
Gerks Parr Chambers Berra Mings Anderson Bish Hyam Williams Dids Murph Maybe play a 4-3-2-1 with Dids and Williams behind Murphy as lone striker
Pow - He's back !!!!!! I really really believe we have a very good chance of top 6 this season, come on !!!!!!!!
Only saw him once last season, at Yeovil, and he was okay but wasn't bowled over. Obviously he's talented but he seemed to be running around a lot without necessarily offering an end product. One game isn't anything to go by, of course, so if you PR regulars are excited then I bow to your superior knowledge. But I do worry that so much expectation is being stuck on the lad, eg the Iniesta thing, especially when he doesn't seem to have been in great demand elsewhere. I'm just concerned that he's seen already as talismanic, which is a lot to live up to and not much fun to hear for the players already in the squad. Having said which, I think it's generally a good sign when players want to come back to us. Except Ambrose :-/
I love the fact that we're playing promotion form football and no ****er is there to see it. 16,500 was our biggest problem crowd for ages. Get promoted and watch all the hangers-on chipping away at my legroom...
It's great news that jonnys back. He made a huge difference to our midfield last season. However as has been said it gives Mick some serious thinking to do as to a midfield line up. However Spanish I did like the look of your lineup.
