We were absolutely ****e in the second half! - From the start we looked uninterested and too laid back. - We had a brief good period after Elliot's cock up. - Before we hung on for dear life to preserve a slender lead.
It happens, tense games generally mean you sit back when you are winning by a single goal How can people still be critical lol - enjoy these times
Five above Peterborough in 2nd and six above third. I bet every other club in the league would swap with us!
I agree i would not swap our spot for any ,it is great to sit top ,and i want us to stay there to the very end.
I still don't think we are a team capable of sitting back and letting the opposition come at us because we have a torrid history of letting valuable points slip away under pressure, particularly in the last 15 minutes. Generally there are certain culprits involved and I wonder what your thoughts are about our defence, but if you think about it perhaps it's the midfield allowing extra pressure to be put on the back line - what's the general consensus on a topic that has been discussed many times over the years but at least we can now talk from a position of strength rather than being in the bottom four because of our limitations.
The trouble is that our formation is good on the ball but not strong enough for sitting back. If we are going to park the bus we need to change to a 442 or similar. But I'm happy with where we stand and with our first half performance.
Whilst pleased with the win and our lead at the top, we certainly don't make things easy giving away a 2 goal lead on 2 consecutive games, letting in 5 goals in the process.
To be honest I know we've shipped in five in two games but which one of the back line would we replace? It's as MTG the system we play but take one of them out we could then disrupt the others. Man City concede a few Chelsea against Everton but do any of us doubt they will not be there come the end of the season?
Mate, I dream about it, I believe in the people that are doing it , I have faith the ability is there but I still don't know if it will happen, I can only pray...
'but which one of the back line would we replace?' RODney, don't think it's about replacing which one. They need a bit of organising as a unit, not just the defence - it's the entire team. We're great going forward, we need to tighten up when we don't have the ball. TBF, I thought Wilbraham and Agard ran their nuts off defending from the front. Are we a bit light defensively in midfield ? Korey maybe ok but Elliot and Freeman's strength is going the other way. However - If it aint broke don't fix it.
exactly not the best to expect from a team that wants to get promoted last 15 ! last 5... That's my opinion also as stated elsewhere 2-0 we have nothing to lose in keeping going forward make it 3 then keep going forward make it 4 its not broke yet but not put together really well which means it might get that way!!
