Filth is too good for these scum. They're not supporters of anything but themselves and need catching and being taught some respect. I was privileged last weekend to be at the 70th anniversary for Operation Market Garden ("Bridge Too Far") at Arnhem and the Dutch youngsters were amazing in their respect for the fallen and the veterans who were there. Some of the filth who do this kind of desecration could learn such a lot from these youngsters. :steam:

My father would have served alongside some of the men commemorated on that memorial. He was a lifelong Saints fan but if his ship was in Portsmouth and Pompey were at home he would go and cheer them on. In those days there wasn't the ridiculous hatred between the clubs that has come about and has led to this sort of appalling behaviour. My dear old dad, as I am, would be deeply ashamed of this stupid, mindless act.

Whoever did this should be made join the armed forces till they see what these men and woman face in war time and gain respect for all those who lost their lives. Utter coward scum doing something like that. No real football fan Acts like that

Find them, name and shame them, then cut their nuts off.

    Shame

A consequence of our silly little rivalry which so often crosses the line beyond the acceptable

No doubt kids who have been raised in an environment of hatred towards our blue side of the county and thought it would be cool or acceptable to do this. Rightly condemned by all, but I think we should all pause and think about what we say and how we act when talking about the other side.

    I feel strange

Some people don't know where the line is. I'm embarrassed it is Saints fans. Awful, awful actions.

We stand together on a lot of things and this is definitely one of those things.

Agree with every sentiment posted here!!! I don't mind admitting on here that I am a supporter of both clubs!!!!!! Love the Saints, and Pompey too as we are both from Hampshire!!!!

If the culprit(s) is?are found first thing to do would be to make them clean their mess up and then.....!!!! Ask what was the point of such a senseless act as I am sure he/they had relatives that fought in both wars!!!!
