Don't worry, after Chelsea hand our asses to us next week, that will be the title race done and over, but hey, as you said after City, we have massively improved this season, lol yeah man we really have, 2 wins out 6 league games, improve improve.
But but according to some on here, we have IMPROVED this season. Go on rose tinted brigade, get your positive spin jobs out, let's hear it. LOL today was a good point against Spurs at home right?
I really don't think that's the case at all today,. I think we didn't win simply because we didn't play well enough. Pace and accuracy were missing. We have the personnel to smash that Spurs team to bits.(without any squad additions) Just seemed to me we were only playing at like 60%.
I zink we were a little bit unlucky ....Spurs are a good team ......... we showed good spirit to come back from behind........ blah fucking blah .
Anyways, it's a race for who will be 3rd and 4th this season, I think we can get 3rd, seeing as how poor Liverpool are. As for the title? Forget about it.
I thought we played well, but what hurts us is no clinical finisher in the box to make something happen, and when you have a soft centre, that Flamini **** up is always bound to happen.
its all well and good laughing at spurs in that thread ... But when they come to your gaff you had better back it up with actions . Or you look like a right tit. no names ...no pack drill ....... we all know how they spunked 100 million up the wall . well , they looked about as good as Arsenes magical wonder team today didnt they ? Just sayin'
Our main problem is we don't have that killer instinct. There's nobody in our squad who can bang in 20 goals a season. We have playmakers but nobody to put those plays into the net. When faced against a stubborn, solid defence we struggle. And our shot/goal ratio must be one of the worst in Europe. We never stretched Spurs or split their two centre backs. Passing the ball around the opponent's penalty area just allows them to regroup and have a breather. It's even worse when that period of play just ends up with a cleared cross. Positives from tonight; Chambers + Oxo. I also thought that Wilshere was decent but all of the midfield changes and the minor injury affected him.
Flamini should be shot for giving the ball away where he did. We should have won this game, given the possession and amount of corners we had.
I think we should be ok with 3rd/4th with the level of opposition, I cannot see Southampton lasting the pace.... Any Gooner talking about the title needs to have their heads examined!
3 big games this season: City, Dortmund, Spurs= failed to win a single one of them. No doubt that trend will continue VS Chelski, yet deluded supporters will continue with the excuses instead of saying enough's enough, this isn't good enough. Weren't we have supposed to put this **** behind us once we had money available, that was the last excuse the WENGER KNOWS BEST EVERYTHING IS FINE brigade have been saying, yet it's the same old **** story, and heck we have ****ing regressed from last season, it's October and we're already out of the title race.
I see a couple of people on here are determined to try and start a spat. Not going to happen. Just talk about the game and stop acting like little **** stirrers with your own fans
We thoroughly deserved to be behind at that point. We might have gone on top win after the equaliser but it was a stroll in the park for spurs up until then
But possession means nothing if its not penetrative and corners mean nothing if they're consistently cleared by the first man. I honestly don't even know why Merte comes up for them, he's just wasting his (low amount of) energy.
