Diame - absolutely immense in that first half and the beginning of the second Huddlestone - back to his best today. we ran the midfield for a large period and he played a big part in this Robertson - constant threat down the left Rosenior very unlucky to miss out, as were the front two who worked tirelessly all game
Robertson - got forward well but also defended well Jelavic - worked hard and glimpses of a strong futer partnership with Abel Diame - BEAST
Just a point - whichever mod merged these threads should rightfully merged the 'Dan Kelly' into the 'Davies' Headband. IMO........
Rossy Robertson Jelly. Diame good for the first hour, Hudd had a much better game, Elmo his usual reliable performance. I like Ramirez when he game on, he will be quality when he is up to speed.
Thought also that Huddelstone had a good game (apart from a few rash tackles). Was never hurried on the ball and always got away with it. Hernandez certainly has a good header in his arsenal, get it to him in the air in a half way decent spot and he will put a few away. Today one came across from the right and it someway behind him but he still managed a decent effort into the top right corner.
Diame Rosenior Robertson Jelavic, Dawson and Huddlestone all played very well too. Livermore needs a kick up the backside!
Robertson Diame Jelavic Diame was slow to start but it was his pressing that helped turn the tide after the first ten minutes. Jelavic's work rate is always good but he also managed some excellent first touches and set up a great opportunity for Hernandes in the second half. Robertson was Robertson (obviously tired a bit towards the end) and his attacking play was matched by some important interceptions in defence. Rosenior was terrific and Huddlestone, Dawson and Davies all put in very good shifts. A decent performance against a world class team.
Robertson Rosenior Huddlestone Thought Dawson, Jelavic and Elmo had decent games too. Hernandez needs more games to get up to speed but starting to link well with Jelavic. Really can't understand the thinking behind playing someone who is clearly out of form in Livermore, out of position. Not fair to him or the team. Diame frustrating today, did some good things but also gave away possession very cheaply on several occasions by trying to do clever things rather than sticking to basics.
Your right he can certainly head a ball, pity he couldn't have just get a bit more of a glance on the connection.
