Yeh but it was backs against the wall stuff. The confidence is shot to be honest. We need a leader at the back and we just don't have it at the moment. I'm also now pissed off bcos Herrera may be out injured. Fcking annoying, hope it's just a minor.
Our attacking play was lovely to watch once again. If we could sort out the defence we'd easily get top 4 and challenging again I'm sure. On another positive, McNair did well. Fair play to the lad, well done
Yes. A big win. Shows how Rooney is just not fit to be captain. The silver lining is that mata can cover. It will have to be all out attack now.
Can only judge by what I heard on the radio, but it seems the ref was 2 points below useless. But 3 points in the bag has to be an improvement, and the added bonus of going above the dippers.
Fair play to Rojo, he played well today when I was expecting a calamity performance. Maybe he and Jones could do a decent job together. Rooney is a stupid scouse ****.
So much negativity. At half time I said any 3 points was imperative and the lads achieved that against the odds. It was a backs to the wall 3 points that give the defensive side of the team great confidence. Here's my video blog review of the game. Watch it and get some positivity. We won and we're on the up with a proper captain and number 10 for 3 games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ay96eF1GMA&feature=youtu.be
The only negativity on here is towards our captain, who really should not be our captain. Your blog won't change that opinion.
Rewatching the game we really did a solid job with ten men. West ham didnt have too many chances tbh. Wasnt a masterclass by any stretch but better.
We would have done much better and maybe even got back on the attack if Herrera had stayed on, he will be a much bigger miss than Rooney if he is out for any time.
Not brilliant, but job done. get 3 points against Everton next weekend (not a cert, but hopefully) and then its silly season with more bloody internationals. But on the bright side, it gives more chances to get some of our injured back to full fitness
Was it the same west ham that rumbled the RS last week? A sure sign a team is really poor is when it makes a team like west ham look like a top class side. Last week west Ham outclassed and out passed the RS. This week they pressed hard with an extra man but never outclassed united. United's restructuring and rebuilding is clearly not complete yet. The team is only performing at about 40% of its ultimate potential. But United are only 2 points away From 4th place which is as incredible as it is welcome ...
Isn't it a delight to be able to discuss United's game without the dumb comments from the dippers? Guess all the YSB's are drowning in cheap lager trying to take away the pain of Everton's scud missile of an equaliser in injury time. Plus of course, we went above them in the league. So not such a bad weekend after all!
