Well, Spurs have done a job on us. Their tactics, whilst not subtle, are working. They're letting us play the ball infront of them and waiting for a mistake. We're lucky not to be down by a goal or two. I'm worried that because of the two forced substitutions, we might not see Sanchez until very late. This game needs a burst of energy and he's the type of player to produce it.
you must be joking . We are VERY lucky not to be 2 goals down . Decent first half.......... Maybe i expect too much .
I have said it last season all the time when Merts was getting the praise, and it's unfortunately turning out to be true. Take out the support and the compensation work Sagna and Koscielny do for him and he will be exposed. From the evidence this season I can't really see him improving too much, it's fully on his physical limitations.
We've kept the ball well and we've put together some nice moves, but only a few have resulted in decent efforts and nothing particularly clear cut yet. Ozil will play more centrally this half and we have Sanchez to come on and give us more penetration too. Hoping we come out fast in the second half and really go at them. For the first 30 mins we seemed comfortable and were patiently probing, but for the last 15 Tottenham were far more in the game. We need to stifle out any hope they have.
Unless we change this totally , up the pace , Spurs will go for this , and they will be rewarded . Come on Wenger , you are NOT a spectator . Make some changes.
He's already made two changes lol He can only use one sub now so the players need to up there game. Everyone out there needs to dig deep and go for the win. We need the three points.
We started well but have faded. The injuries definitely hurt our momentum going forward. Fairly obvious what Sp*rs set out to do. Defend and nick something on the break. First goal is crucial here. Adebayor looks like he has a cauliflower growing on his head.
I hope you're not serious....You do know he was forced to make those 2 changes? He should have started with Sanchez.
When has he looked with it this season? Pretty much if he's not protected by Kos and Sagna both, he's a liability.
The whole point of my comment was to point out he's been forced to make two changes already and is left with only one sub to use...
Can someone explain why we played Sanchez in the League Cup ... and then left him on the subs bench for this? Is Wenger just resting him for the Champions League and hoping we get by without?
Lol. The clear cut penalty when wilshere had his ankle taken out from underneath him and then needed treatment from the medical team?
