And of the 3 teams in the top six that we've played we've beaten 2 and lost 1 nil away to the other (and only then when we got a man sent off).

I feel like I'm pissing on everyone's parade, and I don't want to. I'm just as happy as you to be top of the league, I promise.

You boys gave us the kick up the arse that we so badly needed! <ok>

We've only conceded 2 goals in the last 6 games and confidence is sky high BUT we have difficult away games coming up so I'm not getting too carried away! It's just nice to settle down tonight with a glass of wine while watching our 20 Seconds on the football league show! <laugh>

Obviously happy with the result in the end. And our position. Just a few areas I think we could really improve and we'll be blowing teams away in the first half and getting 5 or 6 in these sort of games. Still plenty of time for Adams to work it out, I'd just like to see players in their more natural position.

It's a good night though! On to Charlton!

Celebrate??? How can we celebrate at a time like this! Wolves only need to win 7-0 tomorrow and we're second! 2.2 points a game is nowhere near enough, Adams out! <laugh>

Of course I enjoy being top of the league and the results, but why shouldn't we try to be better? The second you stop looking to improve you start to slip backwards. Adams is doing a very good job so far, but why pretend everything's perfect? With the quality in our squad we should be capable of dominating games like today, rather than being dragged down to Blackpool's level. I don't see it as a problem at all if people want to comment on team selection and tactics, it'd be bloody boring if we all came on each week and said "Yep, that team was chosen by the manager so it must be perfect". Nearly everyone was criticising Hughton when things were going badly, so why suddenly stop pointing out things just because we've strung a few results together?

Personally I (and I suspect others too), don't assume I know better than Adams at all, but aren't forums the perfect place to discuss tactics? When I'm at a game I'm 100% behind the team, I can honestly say I've never booed the team, nor have I ever left a game before the final whistle. It's not like discussions here have any impact on Adams and the team.

I know it's early season but I didn't realise that the majority of your games played have been against teams currently in the bottom half of the league. So yes, in theory, a tougher run of games to come soon.
All the same, you can only play what's in front of you, and it's gone well thus far <ok>

Swap Wolves for pretty much anyone else and that'd be a pretty much perfect final table for me. Autos for us and then we either get the joy of watching Ipswich crash out in the play-offs, or we'd be guaranteed 6 points the following season in more derby games! <laugh>

Pretty much as long as he keeps scoring goals.

Since that dismal display in the old farm the team has just been galvanised and Mick deserves top marks he has been superb! Young Teddy Bishop has come in and grabbed the Midfiield by the scruff of the neck he has got great ability and we are expecting big things from him. Young Mings has been awesome and Parr on the other side has been great too! We haven't got the biggest squad by any means but Mick has instilled all the attributes that you need into these players and they are all working their bollux off in a Town shirt! You can't ask any more than that.

I think people forget just how often this sort of result happened with Lambert in charge. did he ever achieve 4 away wins in a row? Don't think so. I can see where Vietnam and DH are coming from, but to be top of the league after 9 games with two home games coming up, can't we just ease up a bit and enjoy being top of the league? We still have Hooper and Howson working their way back into the side and Odjidja-Ofoe to come as well, not to mention Josh Murphy. 3-1 away from home and we're still complaining? It seems that when we lose, results are everything, but when we win the 4th away game in a row, people want to criticize this or that. Be consistent at least ffs! OTBC!

Some posters just hate to be proven wrong about Adams and certain players, we are scoring for fun and top of the league what's not to like?.
Says a lot about human behaviour...

Pleased to be proven wrong so far, although I remember saying (and I've just checked!) that I was prepared to give him a chance. Very pleased with the results, number of goals scored, league position and feeling around the team. I just don't see why we can't be proactive and not just reactive. Granted right after the time might be the time for celebration not contemplation, but I don't see why you can't be happy and look at how things could be better still at the same time. It's much nicer having these discussions when things are going well, rather than towards the end of last season when it felt like we'd lose no matter what side we sent out.
