Sanchez is one of the best workers in the team, he tracks back, wins the ball back, and with the type of player he is, the reason he loses the ball is because he's trying to make things happen, he's still our main scorer so far, and scored in the last 4 he has played, so he has to play today. It's simple, you play your best players for the big occasion, but sadly at Arsenal we always do everything the opposite way, not starting our best players, going into big games with no tactics, you name it.
With this line up, all of the midfielders are predominantly central players, meaning they pass and keep the ball better. I expect us to wear Spurs down with possession, slowly looking for an opening, rather than relying on flashes of magic such that Sanchez brings with a much higher risk. BBC also saying Ozil will play centrally, so I guess Wilshere will be on the left wing, but with freedom to roam.
He played against Dortmund and did not score, so he has not scored in his last four games. And he was awful in that game and lost the ball way too many times, keeping the ball is Wenger's main thing, so not surprised to see Sanchez's out of the team.
Sanchez had a bad game at Dortmund but he's still arguably the best player in out squad. Fast, aggressive and technically superb. The guy is also a big game player. Should NOT be on the bench.
i dont know why we bother trying at corners , they are just a waste of time. Just give the ball to them and carry on , save a few seconds wasted.
