Not entirely convinced that wasn't a penalty for us, either for obstruction or handball.

I know you just like being contrary to annoy people, but Grabban has done nothing other than miss chances in the last few games and the only reason I can see for us being 4-4-2 is so Grabban can be in this team. He is offering nothing and causing a detriment to the team. You can keep ignoring that and make the silly jokes but we'll continue to perform badly if he is in the team, as is the opinion of the majority on here.

And just so you know, I'm not blaming Grabban for our lack of performances lately. I'm blaming Adams for trying to shoe horn him into the team.

Whatever the result of this game, I think the Adams honeymoon is over. It's all very well making calls to arms and rallying the troops, but he has to start showing that he knows what he is doing.

Grabban's had 3 very, very good chances in this game and fluffed each one.

I really don't care keep all the little digs going I don't pick the team and want ALL of our players to succeed.
If Hooper or Lafferty play I will back them too.

We seem to play as two separate units at the moment, an attacking 4 and a defensive 7. With the exception of Martin linking up ok with Redmond, there's very little fluidity between those sets of players. Tettey and Johnson rarely go beyond Hoolahan or the strikers, and the strikers don't seem to drop deep to try and get involved.

I think we still have a problem with our strikers despite all the early season goals. Grabban gets into good scoring opportunities but is wasteful, while Hooper is just a fat lump we should have got rid of in the close season.

Me too. But I'm looking at our team, seeing where there are issues and offering my opinion on how they can be improved. You have repeatedly gotten defensive over Grabban (Suggesting you DO care) because many of us have seen him as a potential weak link. The only reason I have spoken about him so much is because you repeatedly bring him up!

Back to the game, still no apparent change in formation and still no real threat, other than the odd individual run. At least it's opened up a little.

At least we actually have 2 wingers in our wing positions. Still think the formation is the issue. This will give us more impetus though.

I can't, that's why I come on this forum to talk about these things. I'm glad you've finally decided to drop it.

Yeah, it's actually a 4-4-2 now, not a weird hybrid where Grabban's playing half as a striker and half winger, and Hoolahan half central and half wide. Still feel starting with a single striker and looking to control the midfield would have been a better approach.

Lucky escape there though, they should have scored.

We've been relying on luck for most of this game, whether in defence or attack.
