With their 11 men behind the ball tactics we need to make our chances count.

We're struggling here a bit, not creating anything of note and on the back foot for most of the half. Routledge hasn't got in the game and would like to see Montero come on for the second half.

Agree with everybody. Sloppy first half. Sunderland putting in a hard working shift. Second the Bony and Montero subs; nothing much likely to happen otherwise. We dodged a couple of bullets thanks to Fab.

Disappointed in Poyets tactics. Didn't think he was a park the bus type.

64% posession and 0 shots on target? Something has to change. I agree, Routledge & Gomis off, Montero & Bony on. Think Monk will go with that at the 60 min mark if not before.

For the home team I don't see much in Sunderland other than when we make mistakes by passing them the ball. There for the taking imo. Monk is either going to be brave here or go for a boring nil nil. Now we'll see what he's made of.

"Garry Monk's Premier League win percentage of 42% is better than Brendan Rodgers (32%) or Michael Laudrup (27%) recorded for the Swans."

Wow. I didnt know that. I suppose anything around 30% by the time February comes around should mean we are safe?

Have to get Montero on right now. Dyer and Routledge not up to much - really struggling to beat their full backs.

Looks like he's looked at our Southampton game and told his players to fall down when touched. They are definitely playing for cards. Ironic Cattermole got booked, but whoever took Fernandez out should have been booked or sent off - aimed for his ankle but got his leg.

Siggy and Gomis look as if they are both playing false 10 or whatever leaving us with no attack and empty midfield.

Tearing my hair out again with Taylor & Jonjo seems leaden footed but doing ok when deep - the problem then is Siggy & Ki aren't making the centre theirs.

This is a game where our second half has to be a big improvement on the first.

MoM so far has to be Fabianski.

    Time for a pie.

TBF Dyer has been tagged by 2 or 3 players when he's got the ball on the right and hasn't had much of the ball on the left.
Routledge looks like he's trying too hard and any wing playing on the left has become a full back.

While I agree with your assessment, it still doesn't change the fact that we have to change it. Montero on asap.

Ref is buying every Sunderland fall over and linos are waiting for Foy to decide on decisions before flagging - I expect you to get a few of ours booked in the second half and to win with an off side goal.
