When you dont play your strongest team vetch , no matter who the team is , its a weakened team . Not sure about your angle about excuses . I think Arsenal are every bit as strong as Liverpool by the way
These Liverpool posters are creating an impression that they will be putting out a weakened team, via injuries, etc, Well, the point I am trying to make is that most teams suffer injuries throughout the season, and could equally claim to be putting out a weakened team every time they play. I just get the impression that they are getting their excuses ready should they lose the cup tie against The Swans'. It's no big deal, and it's something many fans' do,it somehow softens the pains of defeat.
Well I would think either Ki or Shelvey, more Likely Ki, but I would hope that Ki pushes forward and takes Shelvey's spot, and Leon falls back into his usual position!..........
The key word is "squad",which is meant to avoid "weakened team" syndrome. Some would say that Britton's absence weakens the team.
Britton's absence certainly weakens the squad. I agree with the point. It's very rare that a club plays the same 11 players week-in-week-out. Therefore, how can anyone know if a team is weakened? Usually, it's the fans that assume who is the first 11 and who isn't. However, if you bring in 6 or 7 players who usually play reserve team football, then I think that can qualify as 'weakened'.
