I'm really not being awkward, but can you give an update on your theory now that we know that Pulp is Maclean.

This is my kind, sensitive listening side that I keep being told I should get in touch with more often that is doing the asking!

 

I'll be honest and say I ain't been taking this game too seriously at all.
Just joined late and pissed about really as never fully understood what I was doing. I'm now taking it seriously though though. It's a really cool game.

I accept DT could easily be playing on the fact everyone knows how strongly I suspect DMW. It would be easy to drum up voters for DMW with me and DT both campaigning for it.

I've probably jumped on the back of DT's story too quickly, I'll keep my vote for DMW for the time being but if DT is playing us he's picked the only play (and most obvious play) available to him.

It can be revealed that Maclean had been responsible for passing information to the Soviet Union, on topics such as the Marshall plan, a financial package offered by the US to prevent the spread of Soviet Communism in Europe, as well as twisting British Intelligence efforts at disseminating truth from internal investigations. Hopefully this marks a significant turnaround in the fight against KGB subterfuge.

 

I think it's safe for you to answer this question without prejudicing the game jpf as answering it doesn't prove whether DT is MI6 or Ethel. I am assuming you were asked in one of those roles or DT wouldn't risk being exposed by your answer, as I assume you wouldn't actively take part in a lie even though DT is allowed to?

 

Who's going back to check if DT has suggested obi since obi claimed to be MI6

I don't know if DT actually said he was voting DMW, but we can easy change this if not

If I miss giving info to special investigators, as I did last night for example because of not being able to post with the guest thing (today is much much better, they must be onto fixing it), then just message me again to prompt me, I can only apologise chaps, should be all cleared up now

 

Personally, if this story is true then for me it throws far more suspicion onto Obi than DMW. Obviously we know Obi can't be MI5. One thing to bear in mind though, and it is something I had almost forgotten. Tash investigated Obi and said he was told Obi was MI5. At first I took it as proof of Tash being KGB and voted for him (along with others). Then when we found out he was MI6 I took it as part of Tash's meltdown that he had got MI6 and MI5 confused.

We need to look carefully at Obi. I have trusted him mainly due to no other MI6 coming forward and for me that was suicidal on the part of the other MI6 if they existed. However, between his PM'ing, and now two accounts of him being MI5. I think this could be significant. The MI5 mention by Tash was so insignificant at the time that if they have picked up on it as a bluff then it is utter genius.

This doesn't look good for Obi.

Obi supporting people doesn't shed light in either direction as we know that Ethel will still be investigating and learning too.

If this is the case, what makes you so sure that DMW is KGB? I would have thought that it made more sense for you to suspect Obi as you would surely know without asking that he must be lying about being MI6.

I haven't dismissed your story yet, not by a long shot, but you haven't convinced me either.

The timing of your announcement is highly suspicious and contains no info that couldn't be found on the thread or by talking to KGB. However, it has also renewed my suspicion of Obi. I need to think.

I am also removing my vote. Neither Dt nor Obi should read too much into this.

I think it would be a good idea if we all had a good think about this.

I would also want to ask GCB, DPP and DT to consider long and hard whether you want to vote for DMW or Obi.

We have new variables. When we forgot about pre-conceived ideas with tonight's vote and worked together instead we got it right. let's try and do the same again!

 

These were the posts exchanged between Obi and myself in the early hours of the 24th, in the lead up to his PM.

At the time, one of the things that aroused my suspicion was that I led him to believe that I had spotted something in an earlier post (I had) that led me to believe he was hiding something and more than MI5. Immediately he PM'd me.

That was why I outed him at the time. He then won me over. I am now asking if based on these posts you think that might have been a mistake?

 

Am I missing something obvious here? DT is the only one who knew for sure Obi wasnt MI6 if he is MI6. Why would he not reveal this and end the whole charade? Now once everyone one turns on him, he suddenly comes out of hiding. Bollocks. DT is KGB. He has to be and the "not taking it seriously" excuse is lame.

 

One vote from DT for obi came after obi claimed to be MI6 by the way, post 772, at a completely meaningless juncture.

 

Keep digging DMW. They may have not have noticed JPF confirming me as MI6 by answering my question on missing investigation info tonight.. Shhhhh.
