He was having a real hard time with that thing, was probably dejecting driving round not knowing what was going to happen when he pulled the paddles, would it shift properly, one gear/two gears, no DRS, no info, no ERS etc. Am surprised they attempted a pitstop with the potential for engine/gearbox damage that could have happened by dropping it with the wheels spinning/deliberate stalling etc.
lol, as soon as they said what they were gonna do I laughed, it was the F1 version of banging the top of the telly
Wonder if they traced the fault down to the fancy reboot sequence that appeared on his steering wheel when they reset it in the pits!? Sorry Nico, there was a bug in the graphics
I kind of wanted Mercedes' ridiculous plan to work, would have been hilarious, but I'm glad it didn't, Rosberg didnt' deserve to have to keep trundling round.
He did, battery problem, am sure you were really aware of this and the RBR 'coded' message to stay off the kerbs to avoid further battery issues.
It did sound like a hastened committee meeting of a business about to fail and the desperation to do anything to save it. They missed a potential piece of classic radio commentary, someone should have asked 'did you turn it off an on again?'
All I can think is I remember Massa's mechanic on the right rear had a problem during his pitstop in Italy.
The secret to Ferrari's sudden increase in competitiveness??? A new low friction oil for their engine. http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2014/9/16398.html
I've not seen an explanation offered anywhere. Williams I believe tried to play it down as friendly rivalry between corners, apparently they have a competition to see which is fastest. That said, it doesn't look friendly and the mechanic telling the slapper to calm down (far left at end of gif) doesn't suggest it was friendly either.
