it doesn't really show that much faith in him. Although it is low risk for us, if he performs it mean others may be able to swoop for him very easily and it cant make him feel that we particularly want him here.
Others have had plenty of time to swoop for him and no one bar us / Birmingham have touched him! Pretty much zero risk here, over to you Jack.
Welcome to Town Jack. He's not the only one to be offered short term deals initially, it's just our strategy. I wouldn't read too much into it as others have started off similar for us and then been brought in on longer contracts if everything goes well. It keeps the player on his toes and prevents us from being locked into a lengthy contract with somebody who ends up just sitting on the bench or going out on loan.
Has a touch of the Reo-Coker's about it.. Though NRC did play a few games for us and can't see it with Collison myself, but happy to give him a chance and see where it goes
