Being a Golf Pro i have a sort of vested interest in this comp. Not sure how many others on here are bothered but i though a thread would be a nice distraction from the bollocks at St. James.

Stephen Gallagher??? Why has he been picked over Luke Donald??? Cant see many Yanks being afraid of him when they step up onto the tee!! Lukey is the boy, best swing in golf. Gallagher, Journeyman Pro at best, played like a neutered dog this morning. Poulter played like a dog with no balls!!! Possibly the worst pairing in Ryder Cup history ever!! McGinley is looking like a numpty as Captain. Gawd help us!!!

    Thoughts????

You're as irrational about golf as you are about football is my thoughts!

Plenty of time. I'd have went Donald but his form has been truly atrocious. He even admitted himself he should not have gone. His putting and experience would have swayed me. Gallagher was playing well and also has the added bonus of being a Scot at home. Nerves got the better of him this morning. Poulter has also been in terrible form but he has a fine record in this and match play so was a no brainer.

We're up in all 4 this afternoon at present. Time will tell but I think it will be close. The yanks are due a win.

How on earth can you justify Luke DOnald a place in the team? He wouldn't have been in the top 20, and rightly so. You would make a good England manager, picking players on rep rather than form. Gallagher will do a job, he's on form and lives 15 miles from the course. Europe will win this comfortably in the end.

Well at least we've found Pards replacement when he goes.

Decent day in the end. Great result from Dubuisson and GMac.

It's Gallacher as well if we are being pedantic. Great finish last night from Rory but he's looking like an Eu version of Tiger Woods

Thought the european team showed a lack of class wtih their 'can we play you every week' chants.
