I think starting is good, its the lack of depth which could get him into the squad though in my opinion.

And whilst i agree about CB, i just think he'll struggle to get a look in as a young CB at Leicester

I know what you mean. I'm just hopeful as we're Southampton really any different to us when they came up? Of course not, in fact they'd been in league one more recently and those players got selected coz of the impact they made. Moore is a regular for the u21 team now so it'd seem the natural step up but what should happen and what Roy will do is another matter

Its not worked out great for Southampton though, as most of their players that made the team have now gone to the standard "England Selection" sides.

Financially it helped boost their sales though ...

Pundits were penning them as down halfway thru the transfer window, if their new manager had had a bad start, their would be such a real negative atmosphere around Southampton and their owner.

Danny Simpson just tweeted a picture of himself in full Leicester kit, with "#GameDay"

A sign he may be starting?

    Or just a bit eager!?

I wouldn't mind either way, de Laet hasn't been the best defensively but makes up for it attacking wise, maybe Simpson would be more suited to away games

Who would be more suited on the left out of De Laet or Simpson do you think?

    Not sure, really.

But perhaps we are considering pace at the full backs to counter Zaha and Bolasie...

Turns out that Simpson was just a bit eager <laugh>

Same starting lineup as last week... No surprises there then!

    This has been absolute guff.

Just sickening to watch Palace do simple things right and leave us clueless.

Step 1) Get the ball to Jedinak
Step 2) Get the ball to Bolasie
Step 3) Make De Laet **** himself with a few simple stepovers.
Step 4) Produce a simple cross that we fail to clear
Step 5) Simple chance, either a corner or a good shot at goal..
    Step 6) Repeat.

Well beaten in the end ... can't complain at the result in the end.

Disappointing that we could been a couple of goals clear ... unfortunately most chances fell to Nuge.

Danny Drinkwater had an awful game by his standards ... looked well off the pace ... not sure why we took Cambiasso off ... needed guile to unlock a very physical side and Hammond and Drinky not best placed in that regard ... Mahrez did well when he came on (comparatively) ...

Finally Vardy suffered a bit from the press around the Man United game - Jedinak definitely fouls him in the last 10 mins and it could easily have been a pen at any other time ...

I said to my Wolves supporting mate that we´d do well to get a point because Palace are a good attacking side. Proved right.

You were expecting something else from a Warnock side? I've said before (including last season), we struggle against physically big sides. We were overpowered and out jumped in all areas. Thankfully, not many sides in the Prem rely on this rather than ability, so it won't be a problem every week.

As FF said, that looked a definite pen against Vardy (there was also a very good shout against Morgan in the first 10 minutes). Can't believe RL didn't mention it once in their post-match analysis. Don't get me wrong, we barely deserved it - but it could have given us the impetus to rescue a point. Worse performance since Brighton at home - another 'after the Lord Mayor's show' performance.

When is Nugent going to be dropped? He has worked hard but hasn't offered enough attacking wise for us this season

Don't get me wrong he has done a job for the team when we don't have the ball but why not just start another midfielder rather then dropping Nugent into the midfield

I would like to see Mahrez start next week with Vardy and Ulloa together

I absolutely despise of Crystal Palace, I really do. If I list all the reasons I'll be here all week. Bloody joke of a football club. TWATS!

I thought Nuge was one of the only players that really applied himself today. He seems to be a player that gets singled out at times, probably because he doesn't score enough. Vardy had, and missed, our best opportunities today. Glad King wasn't on the field, has he usually gets the same treatment.

I wonder if the 4-3-3 formation is a bit too attack-minded away from home. I know it paid off second half against Stoke, but that's because we changed tactics at half-time. It's difficult though, as against Stoke we were outnumbered in midfield, therefore I think I'll go for a 4-5-1 away from home, with Mahrez and Albrighton coming in for Nugent and Vardy, and use Vardy as an impact sub. I think it's also time James was brought back into midfield - he seemed to do well today, and his thinking process is quicker than Hammond's. Stick with 4-3-3 at home though. I think we can really roast sides at the KP.

Then there's the De Laet question again. I think Simpson looked both threatening and sound defensively when he came on. I'd be tempted to make the switch against Burnley.
