Off Topic Ranieri, Taylor, Drogs, Spy: KGB vs BI Game

Ok - didn't see that coming. This requires much thought......

 

As voting for him can't do any harm I'm going to suspect anyone that doesn't follow this trail of thought.

I fully expect to be assisinated again tonight for going down this path and I won't be allowed to re-enter again. I was killed for a reason. Why would the KGB waste an assasination on me if they thought I was firstly wrong, and secondly if they didn't think I was Oleg.

 

I don't understand this logic GCB. I understood it last night but that was before Tash was confirmed as MI6, which confirms I am Oleg? Am I missing something? If someone can explain it and confirm we have the numbers to sustain a blank night, then I'm happy to go along with this.

 

The way I see it, if we vote for you it eliminates you as a threat because you'll save yourself. At the moment it's as much about confirming who's BI as it is about ousting members of KGB.

Each time someone is confirmed as BI its one less person to suspect and as such tips the balance a little bit more in our favour.

 

I might be being dumb here, but how could I not be Oleg if Tash was MI6? Also what if the KGB also assassinate me? I then can't protect myself or can I?

This looks a wasted vote unless someone can explain the logic.

 

Unless he is 'Philby', in which case wouldn't 'Burgess' save him?

 

Tash could have been told you were 'Oleg Lyalin' as a false answer if 'Maclean' had used his special ability on you.

 

If you're protected then any assasination against you will fail.

We're yet to confirm any one member of BI as 100% trusted, that in itself if a problem. What if the Maclean was used on you when he investigated you?

So Tash may have seen 'Lyalin', but if Maclean was in effect you could be anyone.

 

Ok I get it now. I still think I die though if they assainate me and I'm voted:

I'm not sure how that will help us know any more, and we lose my ability to protect our own.

 

BUT....

Zombie GCB will survive another night if they choose to assassinate you AND you're voted off

 

You won't be assassinated because you're KGB. Why else would they have killed me off?

 

I have voted twice now JPF and you're not including them Is there a reason for this? I first voted for BTK and then changed it to MMS

We should be looking at this before risking DMW in my opinion.

If DMW is KGB then so is Obi as he also claimed to be MI6 and named DMW as Lyalin.
Like DMW has pointed out, even if he is Lyalin, if he is voted out AND assassinated then he dies because he can only protect himself against one form of killing at a time.
It just seems very risky.

I still think there is more chance of Roland being Philby than DMW - but I am happy not to vote for Roland yet based on Obi trusting him. (Edit: This is wrong as DMW has already said he saved Roland - sorry) The same applies to Trev.

Whatever we do, we should try and act as one - and I believe we should be aiming to remove a KGB rather than aiming to have no kills but prove that someone is BI.

I'd even go as far as saying that I'd prefer people to vote for me than for DMW - if DMW is Lyalin. I am MI5, but that is not as important to the team as Lyalin. For now I am basing my judgement on the fact that I believe Obi is MI6 and I don't believe that DMW would have been the subject of a Maclean twice with the same result.

The KGB know who enough of us are now (mainly thanks to me having a nightmare of a day yesterday and mistakingly calling out Obi because I suspected him - ably abetted by Tash giving out too much info on DMW). Because of that I think it is a mistake to openly have a plan where we state who Lyalin will be protecting. They will either just kill off someone else or make sure that DMW receives a double-kill so that the protection is void. Either way we lose another important player.

That's how I see it anyway.

 

If anyone can provide a decent enough reason as to why I was killed off if DMW isn't a member of the KGB then I'm happy to reconsider.

I was campaigning for DMW (someone they would expect to be Oleg) to go. It's the only reason they had me killed. I'm convinced that DMW is philby and killed me off because he thought I was Oleg.
