I used to be well up to speed with the tech mate, but nowadays it doesn't interest me.

I was on Mr Porter the other day looking for a winter coat and seen 'google glass'... a grand for a pair of glasses that will no doubt get a virus in them within 5 minutes and what do they do? Stream porn directly into your retina so you can **** with both hands.

Fantastic crap. I've had my iPhone 4s since it came out and it's awful, but it works as a phone and I can text, go on twitter and whatsapp and use it for an alarm or a torch in desperate times. Job done.

What more do you want from a phone? I have an iphone and I'm perfectly happy with it. Does everything i ask it. Sure there may be technically better phones out, but for me its the 'feel of it' that I like. Its not about which is best, but which I like best. I wouldnt go back to an android unless I changed networks so lose the great contract I've earned.

The android fan boys are just as bad as the Apple ones though. Probably worse because they can back up the superiority of their phones.

Hahaha, will I never learn not to be drinking a cuppa whilst browsing on here.
    Just covered myself in tea.

    I love gadgets mate.
Built this computer myself with twin crossfire graphic cards, 8Gb of memory Windows 7 professional.
Used to use it for playing with VUE the 3d graphic software.

What do I use it for most?
Browsing on here and watching streams and YouTube, which I could do on an old £60 XP computer.

But strangely I stuck with mobiles that phoned people and people could phone me for years.
Then a few years ago my phone supplier offered me a S8300 with internet access and Sat Nav for free. To keep me onside.
Got hooked found the screen too small and bought the S3.
I have the NOT606 app on it which allows me to browse on here while out and about too.

    Ha sorry pal.

I'm not a gadget man at all, I'm not a technophobe or anything I just refuse to get involved in gadgetry consumerism cos I know I'll end up turning my house into some ****ing space station, it's in my nature to get hooked on things, thankfully the narcotics days are behind me!

I use my Mrs' laptop now and again, to book things, like Pizza and flights, phones are crap for stuff like that I think. I also had an iPad that I used to like a lot before it was given to my mother in law for a trip to London on the train and she never returned it, I go round there now and she's just shamelessly playing Candy Crush on it in front of me!

I also own an XBox One, which is great but I'm only allowed to play on that when there's no chores for me to do in the house, which is never!

Building computers is a skill man, I wouldn't know where to start if I had to do that... I'd end up with a joystick glued to a toaster with a sony discman selotaped to the top.

Didn't see this earlier... All good points Indy, I wouldn't disagree or label you an isheep each person is gonna have different prefs for what they like and can live with.

I don't want anything more as a phone, that's why I don't have an obsession with upgrading every time Steve Jobs posthumously farts.

You probably wont believe this but I'm half way through Jobs's autobiography.
The guy was clearly a lying egomaniac who treated people dreadfully and still perpetuated the myth Apple was designed and built in his foster parents garage.

Finished Wozniaks autobiography the other day, where he put the record straight that he designed and built the first Apple computer board while he was working for HP and Jobs tried to stop him offering it to HP first.
Woz offered it to HP and they told him they weren't interested. :p
    Thats when Jobs latched on.
