Oh on a side note, my issue of it saying it's a duplicate post every time I post from phone seems to have been sorted
I dreamed I was talking to Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard last night. I asked JC if he'd met my daughter yet, as she's teaching his son. I couldn't get tickets out of either of them. Pair of ****ing twats
Tricky one that. I'd go with dreamt because I think that's traditional English English and the other is an American usurper. And I'd pronounce it "dremt" so that spelling fits better. Don't tell RHC I said that, though.
i think dreamed is the correct version. dreamt comes up as misspelled in spell checker. howver in oxford dictionary both are quoted.... therefore google chrome has a ****e spell checker.
I know but so are cob and barm apparently I'd go with dreamt too. Dreamed sounds wrong despite being correct too.
That's bollocks, frankly. I'm 100% certain either is perfectly acceptable Don't often disagree with you. Too long in Cymru?
ok ok... lets clarify.. when susan boyle sings its "i dreamed a dream...." when ted has a bad trip he says oh **** i dreamt of susan boyle again last night
Not at all. It's pronounced "dremt" and it's traditionally spelt dreamt. Would you voice the word as "dreemed"?. Dreamed has crept in because of Yank influence, and because of their cultural imperialism has become accepted by some. Like that bloody infuriating mispronunciation of "harassed" that is almost ubiquitous these days. In future, best say "I had a dream". You'll avoid all of this nonsense - though you will sound like Abba.
