The next 5 games could I believe be the most important in our current season.
Firstly the results would possibly determine Kits managerial reign, and secondly
we need at least 10 points not only to play catch up, but hopefully give the team
confidence, and a little clear water from relegation territory, ? what are the chances.

    In my opinion, not good.

If offered now, I would take your hand off for 10 points but I am not sure we could get that many. I think we will win a couple, probably Bolton & Charlton. Our away form is so poor I can't see us getting anything from Birmingham or Rotherham (can't believe I am saying I don't think we will get annything from Rotherham) and Norwich are just too strong for us, even though I know they haven't beaten us for about 10,000 years, having kept their premiership squad more or less intact - now that's a novel concept, eh? Likewise we've no chance at 'Boro away.

6 points for me - maybe 7 if we squeak a draw from Rotherham.

Having said this, I don't think we will get relegated this season and will finish lower mid table. Makes you smile, though, that we were the bookies favourites to go up pre-season.

It is a very long season... I believe we can get something at Birmingham. We are not that bad and have been unlucky not to score in some games more!

I think we're a different kettle of fish now that Felix has gone. The starting lineups are less "**** it, that'll do" and has a bit more thought behind it.

I think 10 points is achievable, but then again I won't be surprised if we don't quite make it.

Based on statistics teams that make the play-off have a win rate just close to 50%... Still long to go!!!

Do not despair, keep the faith!

im not so confident, we need to start improving quickly... We played well in the first half on Tuesday but were shocking in the 2nd half against a team in the league below us... Like Fulhaman I'd take your hand, and half you arm, off for 10pts too.

    I'd gladly take 10 points.

Birmingham aren't a bad side. I'd be happy with a point.

My worry as already alluded to is we are still just a 45 minute team. We have a good half then a bad one. Plus if a team presses ushigh we don't have an answer to this strategy.

Keeping the faith and still craving a league win!

Birmingham have their own problems at the moment, as do Bolton. It's hard to be optimistic about any game when we're rooted to the bottom of the table with one point, but I think we will get something on Saturday. I hope so as I'm going! 10 points from 5 is promotion form and I can't see us hitting that, but 7 or 8 would give grounds for optimism. It will help a lot if we can keep 11 players on the pitch for five games.

Historically in this League you need to hit 50 points to avoid the drop. As you say Madness there's a long way still to go but that 'landmark' equates to 16 wins and 1 draw in 38 games. I reckon we'll be doing well if 2 of those wins are in the next 5 games.

I'll do my best Bidley. Hoping for one of those "I was there" away games that I hear other people talk about but I never seem to get to.

Even if the football's rubbish I'm looking forward to a first visit to the Balti Triangle before the game.

Well we took 10 points from these five games and, following tonight, we have taken 13 points from the last six.

You guys should predict a little more. :)

And now only 8pts off the play offs. Amazing progress when you think we only had 1pt from the first 7 games

Agreed - great return from 6 games and what's most encouraging is 3 home wins in a row, three clean sheets and. 8 goals. The Cottage is becoming a fortress again. Keep that up and we'll finish nearer the top than the bottom.

Amazing really that we still have the worst defensive record in the league. Nice one Felix.
