I do the East Park Run on a Saturday's Charlie, I agree with you it is a great event and with that story this Saturday's run will be very poignant! Do you run the Humber Bridge or East Park event?

East park, I usually volunteer. Long term achilles kept me out running for over a year, back running but only just back to 5k recently. This Sats will be a big event, maybe a record attendance of 500+.

Blimey a year with the Achilles? Now I am worried. I'm just coming back this Saturday after a 5 week lay off with my left Achilles Heel, I've managed a few tentative runs of a couple of miles and hoping this Saturday I get round without breaking down and being able to walk the next day. I will have to say hello at some point! My brother has volunteered a few times though he's a far better and slightly more serious runner than I am. Looking forward to Saturday - good luck!
