That was naive by Lascelles. Watched by a lot of sides before the Geordies bought him and loaned him back. Townsend hits the bar! About ten more shots and he'll get one on target. He's done pretty well tonight, but he'll get plenty of stick for his final ball.

Yes, I've never seen a player score a higher percentage of his goals from low volleys. Not that I've watched more than a few dozen highlight videos. I think the idea is to get Lamela off the mark, but it looks like another defensive substitution, and Pochettino will get mentally tarred and feathered by Spurs fans if what looks like another defensive substitution results in another blown lead. For f**ing once. We actually see a f**ing game out. Another assist for Lamela. 4-4-2 it is, then, as far as I'm concerned. Well, nothing lasts forever. That bad luck OG against Kane really killed us. I think without that, we'd have five more points than we do.
More dawdling in midfield, as Bentaleb takes on touch too many, then makes a tired challenge and gives away a free-kick. Lamela overdoes the touches on the break, too. Needs to cut that out, though his options were limited.

Why do they keep saying Mason's not in the Premier League squad? I thought he was one of our small number of homegrowns? I'm sure we didn't even use our full quota, so why would we leave him out? Unlucky there for Lamela. Did well when he came on, despite my qualms about it happening. Forest B did Clough's memory proud tonight. Very decent performance until Mason's strike. Pearce can hold his head up high after that, despite the result. Wish them well for the rest of the campaign.
