If we are back into Cork OR Wanyama again then I'd prefer to start with Wanyama. Its a tough one though, if we need to shore up a game then Wanyama is the obvious choice, if we need to change the tactics a bit and create something, maybe Cork. I think it would be hard on Wanyama to drop him after last night's efforts. It would be nice to have a comfortable win but things are never that easy. It will also be interesting to see how Pelle matches up to Ferdinand.
No you don't. I've always only wanted what was best for the team. Last season I thought that Cork was a zillion times better than Wanyama and on quite a few occasions better than Schneiderlin. So, I felt the need to stick up for him as I couldn't believe that people on here weren't seeing what I was seeing. This season, Morgan has been outstanding and Wanyama too has been excellent. Cork, even with the goals, hasn't been as good as he was last year. That said, I would rather see a team with Cork than Wanyama because the football is generally more pleasing on the eye. But I am more than happy for Vic to soften them up first! Many a successful team has had their 'enforcer' and they are generally very popular with the fans.
Take a scrappy 1 nil victory now. \they'll probably set up like they did last time here so hopefully they don't come away with a similar result
Steven Davis is the type of player that you only miss when he is not in the team....like the first half against Swansea.
Need an old school hate-filled atmosphere on Saturday. St Mary's crowd has increasingly been far too soft recently. With the team doing the business on the park and our away fans being superb, time for all the stiffs in St Mary's to show they are actually alive and get behind the team and intimidate the tax-dodging twitcher.
Apologies if already posted, but have a look at what Fraser Forster thinks of playing for Southampton, and who advised him that it was a great move: http://sport.bt.com/sportfootball/news/forster-enjoying-life-at-saints-S11363934269660
I dislike Redknapp as much as the next Saints fan but I really dislike this mockery of his twitching. The guy twitches because he suffered brain damage in a car accident. You wouldn't laugh at someone with Parkinson's so why at this?
