Fair play to Southampton they did well and just about deserved to win, but as you say it was the Capital One cup and we made 10 changes from the weekend, so whilst it's disappointing, it's not a tragedy. Hopefully players like Bellerin, Diaby, Hayda and Campbell will get another chance in the FA cup.

Embarrassed by our 4th string losing? <laugh>

You just lost at home to a side picked apart with a side that included your second biggest transfer ever and a number of first teamers. I know which manager felt worse after their side lost. It wasnt lvg.

At least liverpool won. Badly. Playing a full strengty side almost.

I await your next bollocks excuse. <ok>

We've also replaced those players with players just as good and we are on fire right now. You're speaking absolute bollocks. Good luck in the Champions League. Oh....wait a minute....

Absolutely. Saints don't look weaker than last year.

I think Koeman has done remarkably well considering all the players that left in the Summer.

Cant help but think he's bought very well. Tadic and Alderwald in particular.

Weirdly unbothered after last night. Great game to watch from two sides who really wanted to win and some reet sexy goals too! Thought Southampton edged it based on the clearer cut chances and deserved the win despite our extra possession. Really impressed by Tadic for them but was also very encouraged by our young defence. My only real gripe was the lack of effort from a couple of players who I felt should have imposed themselves on the game. They know who they are.... <grr>

Oh, and was impressed with the big man considering it's his first game since 2002! He was a bit rusty yes but there were a couple of moments when he brushed Saints players off the ball and took two uber-lanky strides to clear another couple of players that brought a tear to my eye! Course, he'll be injured today but was still nice to see <whistle>

All the best Saints, hope you win now xx

Whats more humiliating. Losing 4-0 to MK Dons with our 2nd string team full of ex players and youth in the league cup(A cup with who Arsenal had a full strength team out and a cup they have now dismissed saying they don't give a f** about it and its meaningless).... OR losing 8-2 in a Premier League game to the team and who they failed to beat last season that lost 4-0 to MK Dons???????

So by Arsenal Logic MK dons would beat Arsenal 12-2???? I don't get it

You two Utd chumps don't half talk a lot of ****.

Only in your world is losing to Southampton worse than getting absolutely taken to the cleaners by MK dons

Depends on the line up and how serious the losing side was taking the game.

Very seriously in arsenals case. Not at all in uniteds.

Anyway pisk. What about losing to united? Constantly, regardless of which side we put out. Where does that rank?

Ah the 8-2. Wondered how long that would take. How many years will your mid-table, no European football, mediocre club be dining off that one? You sound like a Liverpool fan. But we all know next year is your year.

You clearly want to brush it under the carpet, but no chance fella <ok> You shipped four against league two side, we could both claim that we played weakened teams in the CoC, so let's not try and play that card either.

As for losing to Utd, honestly it rankles. Because you were **** last season too and we should have beaten you. I'm hoping we put that right this season, because if Leicester can put 5 past you then reasonably we can put 6 past you.

New logic Leicester put 5 past us so every other club will now score at least 5, bad times for United fans :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Ok losing to moyes united 1-0. The only 'big' club he didn't get humilated by. Not even a single loss.

How about that. Arsenal lost to david moyes manchester united side. Shocking.

Interesting this concept of Logic that you Utd fans don't seem to grasp.

I didn't say 'every other club will now score at least 5'

I said if Leicester can put 5 past you then Arsenal could reasonably put 6 past you.
