Yes, its all about self interest. International managers have a game to win and they don't care if a player gets injured while playing if they get the result. Their games are so few and far between that minor injures (2-3 week injuries) don't really worry them as the next time they have a game the player is likely to be fit again.
They also have a larger pool of players to pick from, if one gets injured they can always pick someone else.

usually though it is in game injuries they generate not training ground ones.

In general england have not been SO bad with ti but Spain were awful. every game, every single one they'd return torres injured.

I remember seeing a few years back trapatoni for ireland play one of the reids (one at west brom?) when he clealry had a knee injury then knacker him and never picked him again.

If you send a player into a game carrying an injury like he did henderosn that can knacker them. Over tarin lads is utterly pointless.

Hodgosn doesn't know what he is at as training at international level should be running the arse of players it shuld be tactics and set piece etc. those sessions should not be heavy... I'm sorry but no international manager mid season should be holding fitness training type ****.

When is Harry Kewell coming back from injury... seems he's been on the injury bench longer than normal this time! <whistle> Haven't seen him play for us in a few years... :bandit:

Wish I never saw him play for us! Still haven't forgiven him for losing us the Champions League in 2007.

He did a dive instead of tackling the player before the 2nd goal. Probably would have been 1-1 at full-time if Harry hadn't done his usual ridiculous diving. We would have gone to extra time... and hopefully Crouch as a substitute would have helped us in Extra Time. (Crouch was on sideline waiting to come on for several minutes at end of game if I remember correctly- and Rafa kept shooting the ref evil looks because he wouldn't let him on).

If it weren't for Harry Kewell being his usual lazy self and diving instead of putting effort in to tackle, we might have won it six times.

  11. TBH, I can't remember the game that clearly now, it was a while ago <laugh> I don't know we were the better side on the day but lost which was ironic considering 2005.

We need Studge back... but if he isn't ready for Everton- FFS please don't put him on useless international duty to get injured again.

You can't see Rodgers thinking Studge isn't fit enough- and then Roy throwing him on for 90 minutes against San Marino and 90 minutes against Estonia before he is fully fit and knackering him again until the next international break?
