    We haven't as yet.

He's gone for Schmeichel who was unwanted at a Championship club. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a fact.

You should be aware that he doesn't have a very well-developed all-round game.

Haven't you been rejects two years in a row now? <laugh> After spending about five times as much as us.

We've been rejected from the Premiership for 2 years yes.

You were rejected from the Championship 3 years in a row <laugh>

And who have we spent money on? I don't want to dig out all the facts AGAIN but we've only spent more than a £1m on 1 player since we've been back in the Championship.

So enough with the spending loads of dosh myth. We will spend it this season though and I think you'll notice.

Waghorn, Bamba, Moreno, Gallagher, Wellens (plus Schmeichel and Peltier this season) - all for transfer fees.

Kirkland, Yakubu, Kamara, Naughton, Davies - all on massive wages.

Course you've been spending huge money. Way more than Leeds who've spent £1.2m over the last two seasons. I'd conservatively estimate £5m from Leicester not including wages.

Wellens and Gallagher was brought at the beginning of 2009

    Bamba was 250K
    Moreno was around 200K

    XD

In all fairness, Leeds are bigger. Bigger fanbase, more illustrious history. But who cares? At the minute we're all at the same level and that's what counts..

I was basing it on spending from the start of the 09-10 season till now.

Even if it is £5m over 2 seasons, it's hardly breaking the bank is it. Bit of a joke to call it huge money.

My mistake though both Gallagher and Waghorn were over £1m (though Gallagher only just) Bamba and Moreno were a lot cheaper.

Naughton would not have been on 'massive' wages at his age.

Kirkland played about 5 games for us, Kamara about 10, Davies the same, Yakubu for 6 months. Even if they were 'massive' we were only paying them for a short amount of time, so it evens it out.

I don't see why you've put Schmeichel and Peltier in even in brackets, they haven't played a game for us yet, not relevant at all.

Also I'd like to point out we had a **** manager at the start of last season which put us in a bad league position with a **** squad. The season before we narrowly missed out on the Play-off final. I'm hardly embarrassed about our last 2 seasons.

And since when did a Leeds fan care about money, players or managment? I thought all that matters is how much of a big a Club you are? <laugh>

Simply pointing out that after the amount of money you've spent (which you can't deny is very big for this division), it must have hurt to continue being rejects.

Ah but I can! And I have :)

Just because Ken Bates is a tight bastard, it doesn't mean we've been spending loads! We should spend quite a bit this summer though and if we don't go up I will be embarrassed!

Of course it hurts not being in the Premiership, it hurts you too, except it hurts you more because you Leeds fans have such a superiority complex that it causes a malfunction in your brain when the league tables prove you are not the massive Club you once were :)

If you're so unwilling to spend money you can always have Steve Howard on the cheap, he's surplus to requirements here and at least it will stop him scoring late winners against you (maybe) ;)

5m in 2 years is not huge for this league at all. Chopra cost cardiff 4m 2 years ago, bellamy must have been on ****loads, west ham have spent 3mil on nolan already, sheff utd spent 3mil on ched evans, so really we got about 6 or 7 playes for the price of 1 chopra, and if it wasnt for a certain **** of a penalty taker it would have been said chopra sat on his fat arse crying and not waghorn. So we havent spent agreat deal just more than you coz ken bates is a prick and youve not attracted wealthy owners. Anyway we are about to show you what real spending looks like. Come in Matt Mills, Sean St Ledger, Craig Mackail-Smith, and fingers crossed Nicky Maynard. Them 4 will only cost about 12 million. Peanuts to us. Go play in the road and whinge to uncle ken you aint got no money somewhere else, Donald Prick.

As Emilio has pointed out, £5 million over two seasons isn't 'very big' as you've put it and we haven't really underachieved. We should have won the play-off semi-final in 09-10 (where if anything we overachieved) were it not for some awful refereeing decisions and last season we would have again finished in the play-offs had it not been for Sousa and we did well to get as close as we did with a patchwork squad.

This season will be the first in which we have really spent big and the proof will come in May as to whether it has worked or not but we certainly look capable of building a squad that looks worthy of competing. The same cannot be said for yourselves however with most of your best players being linked away or having already left and not much investment on the horizon.

If you finish above us in May then you're very welcome to come and tell us that we've underachieved for the money we've spent but for now those comments are a bit premature.

If you have got the money you might as well spend it. Just because other clubs dont have the money we have doesnt mean we shouldnt spend it

He's honestly not. He has too many holes in his game to make him anything more than an average keeper. Out of the fans on this board, I'm pretty sure CliveTime is the only one who thinks getting rid of him was a mistake and CliveTime is not a respected member of our community (some of us want him banned).

We've been watching him for 10 months, and if you choose not to believe he's not as good as his name would have people expect, then that's your problem. Not like we've been telling you for the past week that his awareness, distribution, command of his area, ability to clear crosses and communication with defenders needs significant work, pronto. Oh wait we have been! But you won't believe us because we're just "bitter" that we've "lost one of our best players".

I've been on your official forum and the opinion is far more split than you are making out.

I'd say 50% think he's overrated and it was good business, whilst the other half think you've had a shocker letting him go.

I think he's overrated myself, but he has potential and will get better with age.
