Really impressed with his debut last night, him and Rossiter did the simple things well. Very good to see
Hoping that in the coming rounds cameron brannaghan gets some game time aswell. Himm and rossiter have a very good midfield partnership at u21 level. Didnt know much about jordan williams. But he impressed and is versatile
well fair play to step up and smack home a pen but the pro who allowed him to go sixth want shooting imo
Very impressed with him. In fact I had more confidence when the youngsters had the ball all game. Enrique showed us what we've been missing as well.
We will have a whole team of Jordan's one day. Its good to see the youngsters performing well. I did not see the game though. Where did Williams play?
he came on Center Mid, kept the ball ticking over, wasnt afraid of pushing slightly forward and he is built like a fridge
Cant think of a comparison really besides I dont like comparing young players ever since I thought Jon jo Shelvey was Like Zidane
Why? He obviously felt confident enough and as a midfielder should be better than our CB's at taking pens!
I've been thinking this for a while (without the superfluous possessive apostrophe, obviously). What exactly happened about 20 years ago that suddenly made all these young parents look at the tiny, screwed up, skriking faces of their cacky little treasures and think; "let's call him Jordan"?
Williams first name is Michael but his team mates call him Jordan - go figure. There'll be lots of 20 year old Georges in 19 years time too.
williams played beside lucas at DCM in the 4231 formation... didn't do much... he replaced rossiter. he is a CB/CM type kind of like coady was
That makes it sound harsh The lad did alright. He didn't do anything wrong but nor did he try anything fancy, he just kept the ball and found a red shirt each time
There was one moment I remember when Williams tracked back and intercepted a pass to break down a move, but other than that he was mostly invisible - just got the ball and moved it on without doing anything or note nor anything wrong. Rossiter, I thought, looked quite good - even ignoring his goal which the keeper should have stopped. I felt pretty safe when they were on the ball though, unlike Lucas who worries me every time he's near it.
