Yep, that's the ****ting out that I was referring to. Lallana drew in two or three of their defenders and poked it through to him. Running onto a perfect ball, begging to be smashed goal wards... He **** his pants and poked it in Sterlings general direction. The lad gave the cockiest interview ever when he first arrived at the club - giving it large about how he has the talent and isn't afraid of the limelight. Could've fooled me pal!! Alberto Aquilani-esque attitude...
Couldn't continue reading after his piece on Sakho. Prior to getting to Sakho, he calls for Johnson to be recalled ahead of Manquillo. ESPN should stick to cricket and american football.
Mignolet was never a 7 (5 or 6). Sakho was far better than Toure, I'd almost swap their respective commentaries around. Manquillo will not, or should not, be replaced by GJ. Lallana didn't look 'uncomfortable on the left'. Sterling's pass was surely down to tiredness rather than lack of 'common sense'. Rossiter already looks twice the player Jay Spearing was, and I liked wee Jay. Sterling was an 8 (9, without his woeful pass!), and I'd give Suso a 7.
how can mingolet be a 5? he had not much to do and produced two saves..... the first goal Thommo seems to want to blame him for being too deep or the line too high giving space to put ball in. johnson.... anyone calling for him doesn't look at lfc very deeply. Its like guys who want to call agger our best defender when anyone seeing him could see he was struggling for pace and still as bad as others regarding set piece. Johnson looks grand wandering forward and getting lots of passes but he can't get back period.
First things first, in no way shape or form will I ever claim that Glen Johnson should be recalled into the side. He is a washed up prima-donna collecting is bloody pension! However, having said that... I can understand why people are saying Johnson should be recalled. Against Villa and West Ham we lacked creativity to break them down. Johnson provides more of a attacking threat than any other FB we have bar maybe Moreno. This is the only possible reason people can have for his recall. I do stand the first part of this post though, he should not be recalled because although he has the talent to be able to create something, he no longer has the mental state of mind to do it. He doesn't give a **** about the team, the club or even his own career!!!
we need an mls team to do us a favour and take him off us in jan window. he is out of contract in summer isnt he? i know we might not get much if anything for him, but we would get rid of his stupid wages for one, or would he be a stubborn ****er if we are still in cl by then?
What does anyone think of the stutter step penalty? Mario was the only one to do it last night [twice!] Is it cheating or is it gamesmanship?
problem is, on the ball he's look distinctly average and his ball retention and passing seems to have dropped dramatically in the last year or so. Last couple games he played he was alright defensively (alright not brilliant, not terrible as some people want to claim) but going forward he was bad. Means the 1 thing he was good at, he seems to have regressed at. I think it's just a confidence thing
Depends. He stopped about 2 steps away from the ball which is fine. Plus if a keeper is facing him, they know he always does it so it shouldn't make a difference to them. What you can't do is get to the ball and go to kick it then stop as the keeper may dive and you can roll it the other side. I personally don't like it, but you cant knock the technique of someone who has a record of penalties like he does
i see that as no dif to the keeper allowed to move along the line to try and put striker off. isnt it legally ok as its all in one movement, ie if he stopped then shot that's not allowed?
its cheating slightly but as long as a keeper stands up and uses the time to get another 2 yards out of his goal fine imo
his comments on rossiter, a 17 year old are truely ignorant. the boy is 17.... not a midget.......... a bit rich to lay into a child playing with men in effect
It used to be that way but I checked the FA website and this is what it says about 'procedure' •The player taking the penalty kicks the ball forward •He may not play the ball a second time until it has touched another player •The ball is in play when it is kicked and moves forward Read more at http://www.thefa.com/football-rules...law-13---the-penalty-kick#FKtvUzcr3gSqqcHb.99
