I have read and learned, and what I learned is that religion is the bane of human life. I have no problem with anyone's skin colour. I have no problem with anyone's religion. I have no problem with anyone's sexual orientation. I do have a problem with people from the above groups getting preferential treatment though. Which happens far too often, leaving ordinary law abiding people with less rights than one of these minorities. The only Muslims I have seen speak out about these atrocities done in the name of THEIR God. Have either been under attack from other Muslims, or forced to make statements to the media to sound more moderate. Even though they teach the young Muslims that Mohammed instructs them to go out and kill non believers. The World is a nicer place and easier to cope with, where these extreme religions are not the norm, that is a fact! No one has once said all Muslims are the same.........What has been said is that the Koran itself preaches violence and/or killing as a method of spreading Islam which is a fact. Both the Koran and the Bible are full of contradictions, and what I stated is that I can't fathom out how otherwise seemingly rational people can believe this crap is the words of some superior being or God. I also stated that I have friends who are moderate Muslims, some of who enjoy a few beers, which I believe is meant to be forbidden..

The only ones I know who are brainwashed are the ones who have been brought up believing in any God and can't shake that belief even though they know it makes no sense. If the Koran and the Bible are the "WORD" of God, that means everything in the Bible is true. People can't just pick and choose the bits they want to believe. Or by the same token ignore the clearly preposterous statements they make, that made perfect sense to ignorant people who thought where they lived was the whole World, rather than just one tiny part of the Earth. I got thrown out of an RE lesson at school when I had the nerve to question the story of Noah's Ark that we were being taught was fact! Four men without any help built this huge boat. (It would have had to be bigger than anything built in the history of mankind.) Then had seven days to fill it with a pair of EVERY living thing in the World. All good so far? Then there's the logistics, food and water to keep them all alive. for 200 days. This would have took a fleet of Arks as supply ships. Then it rained for forty days and covered the highest points on earth by over 20 feet. Erm that one hell of a lot of water! By the way was there a separate Ark for all the plants? If God is this infallible omnipotent being how come he made a mistake in the first place and had to destroy us in a flood? (Why not just do like Q on StarTrek does and click his fingers and make everything ok? ) Why did he make women so wilful that they would eat apples? And why is he such a nasty and racist bastard in both the Bible and Koran? With all his smiting and telling people to kill other races even insisting the babies are killed too!
