OK, I was using Begovic as an illustration that keepers can score. They've never had a goalkeeper score a goal from his area in the Bundesliga..?
QPR's £10m signing Sandro is out injured. Not much of a story you might think, only the useless idiot injured himself after sliding on his knees when he scored in training.
Always wondered how safe that is when you see players doing it during a match. Not the daftest way to get injured though...dropping a sauce bottle and cutting a toe off whilst mowing in flip flops must be up there.
Hampshire are off to a dodgy start in their crucial promotion deciding match against Glamorgan with Smith and Dawson getting out cheaply, they need to get as many bonus points as possible but are currently 21/2, with their promotion rivals Essex getting 3 quick wickets against Worcestershire.
Oops. Harry must be chuffed. I wasn't overly concerned as although I rate him, I think he was several weeks off full fitness and wouldn't have been at his best if he had been available Saturday. Hopefully it increases the chances of Joey Barton playing. I fancy watching him chase shadows.
Looking forward to the Ryder Cup...though out quite a bit, so won't be following as closely as I'd like. Must be enjoyable for the players to play as a team in a usually solo sport.
But a brilliant 200 run partnership between Vince and Ervine got us to 357. Both scored crucial centuries.
My wife returns from France trip with the school on Thursday evening and has Friday off in lieu of travelling on Sunday... I will 'work' from home Friday, so we will be glued to the golf. Sadly, I'll have to record Saturday's play as I'll be at St Mary's Saturday and then miss 2 hours play on Sunday as my lad has his match.
They ****ed up by making it of thin aluminum. It bends and warps just from body heat in a pocket. One IPhone returned was nearly bent in half.
Now why doesn't that surprise me..? Typical Apple. Style over function, instead of the other way round, as it should be. It's funny, but Samsung's so-called cheap iccy-plastic doesn't bend in the pocket, the phone's structure is so well designed. I have been very surprised by the durability of my S2. I do have a [Saints red, of course] protector sleeve over it, but when I peel that off occasionally, to give the ol' thing a clean, underneath is a showroom condition phone. I can honestly say it's one of the best purchases I've made in years.
Plastic can be incredibly strong. Often people think plastic is just the stuff the plant pots are made from, but some of the applications that we put plastic into is incredible.
Mmmm need to finds n article about this and get it over to my us colleagues to get into the Apple engineers.
