Need to set the aims higher than last season's aim of a top 10 finish but we cannot afford a bad spell and need luck that the top teams win the cups (if not us) to grab a European spot, think top 8/9 is more realistic, try and get to the 50point mark and a decent cup run.

Still need another 5 or 6 players in IMO but with the reported signing of John O'Shea next week that will be a huge signing providing it comes off.

If we get Oshea I would say 3 more needed

Lost Onuoha and Mensah who need replacing, O'Shea will be a quality replacement for Onuoha IMO if it comes off.

Gardner has taken the spot filled by the departure of Muntari and Wickham and Ji have taken over from Bent and Welbeck

Larson for Henderson aswell as the new keaper.

We aint in a better position than last season 2bh with squad numbers and you could argue that last season's squad is better than the current lot, like I said yesterday we have made a good start in this transfer window but thats all it is a start not forgetting aswell 4 or 5 of our players could be missing for the start of the season definately need 4 more atleast IMO, we only have Bramble, Turner and Ferdinand who play at the heart of defence and looks like Turner will miss the start of the season.

 

We'd have a strong squad if we got a left back, centre back, left winger and a forward.

 

Thats why we're after John O'Shea.

 

another CM? We Have Gardner, Catts, Colback, Meyler, Steed, Sess and Ricco that can all play in those positions. We also have young Billy Knott waiting in the wings, so I really don't think we need anyone else for the middle of the park.
