In line with the rules, Lyalin (BI) has the ability to save anyone he wishes each night, and Burgess (KGB) gets one protection cover for Philby (ie, when he's done it once, he can't save him again). Either could have saved Rolando.

OK. I've been trying to observe, but I still don't know it has helped. To be honest I genuinely thought they'd both turn out to be Brits, so didn't vote. Shows how good my observations are.

But this pattern of people querying was Roland 'saved' is really confusing me. Was he REALLY protected? I thought the actual vote count was a draw leading to ET followed by 5-4 in Rolando's favour - so an out-and-out victory - no 'save' needed! So why are some so adamant he was 'saved by KGB'? Am I missing something vital?

You're 'convinced' how? Didn't you just join in last night? You seem very sure for somebody who wouldn't have had time to 'spy' on anyone overnight or to 'make friends' you could 100% trust already. So please explain your logic.

I'm not saying Roland is off the hook in my mind - yet - but are MMS and Less Hope throwing us a line here about 'outing Roland' as a KGB ? Or is this a genuine accusation?

 

JPF counted wrong and initially thought that Roland had lost the vote 4-3, and in the process gave away this information about Roland before realising that A Commie Spy had been eliminated.

 

So it was the large bold print I missed then! I just read it as he had 'escaped' in the sense that he was voted to safety and it was Part 1 of JPF's update, with the jubilant news of ACS' demise to follow. I didn't realise it meant JPF thought some secret behind the scenes conspiracy had been applied because JPF jumped the gun on the results posting.

OK, so that still leaves me none the wiser.

 

I know this makes me really sad considering it's 2am, but reading back through this thread I've just realised you f**ed up earlier in the thread (I think) and I didn't notice. You are playing the role of the confused MI5 agent who hasn't really got the hang of things yet. I don't know who you are, but I do know that the only role that you cannot be is a simple MI5 agent with no powers. You are hiding something, and hiding who you are. I need to have a think about why you might be doing this before saying anything more....

Not surprised to wake this morning to hear that ACS was KGB! Looking back at a couple of the pages (couldn't be arsed to re-read all), but I Tash is definiately KGB after looking at his nominations and staying quiet (must be a right pain in arse this for him). So my nomination is for Tash - unless MI6 can provide us with some intelligence.

Seeing as it's pretty much certain, as it stands, that I'm gone, I will reveal that I'm an MI6 agent.

Less Hope than Neville is Maclean from KBG, and you'll all find that out when I'm dead and it's all confirmed.

I don't think this game is gonna run as well as we'd have liked, because I don't believe as many MI5 agents are voting as we need, so perhaps the amount of active KBG players is already level to the amount of BI players.
