Just how long is it since arsenal last won the league?

Oh and weve won, 5 titles, the champions league, 2 league cups, the world club cup and a few community shields since that particular time. <ok>

Awww how sweet, you're the new Liverpool, spouting about past glories, how low the ship has well and truly sunk, pity pity United and their fans. :( Having to reminisce on the good ole days. :(.

We were title challengers last season. We spent more time than any other club at the top of the table (what was it, 128 days?). If that doesn't count as a title challenge to you then your definition must be incredibly narrow.

It's also obvious that by "the new Liverpool" he was referring to the four seasons they spent at ~7th place.

We aren't looking back further than a season. I was simply explaining the statement he made to you since you'd obviously either mis-understood or chosen to misunderstand pedantically.
 
As much as these United fans want to bark and put their chests out, facts will always put them in their place, they are currently nothing more than a **** mid-table club, :-). Lol they've won 1 game in 5, just got their asses handed to them by Leicester, and are sitting nicely in 12th position, hahahaha.

Thanks for explaining it to him. Perhaps I need to "dumb down" my rhetoric as it is going over his head. It seems that he lives in the past and not the now. I am old enough to remember when United went 26 years between titles, but that is probably before he was born. We need to take pity on him and I am starting to actually feel sorry for him ...... Not
