That is simply outrageous and a disgraceful way to treat a loyal supporter.

I wonder if this is something Roller should bring up in his meeting with the PR guys? What do you think Roller? I know the meeting is to discuss communications etc but actions like this make all the excellent communication worthless if this is how fans are being treated.

This attitude by the club simply has to cease immediately.

Don't take this treatment Sussex, fight it.

What if you contact the club 48 hours before and the match is a sell-out? Or will you be offered one of their 'restricted view' rubbish seats?

I hope Roller is given enough info from irate regulars to give Ian Taylor a very clear picture of what we think of this outrage. Who will want to buy a season ticket in future if they make it up as they go along?...

I've exchanged emails with Ian Taylor. He is in discussions with both the Box Office and their Customer Services team and hopes to be in a position to discuss this on Wednesday when I'm up at the club.

    Clearly it will be discussed.

Thanks for the support mate, They're treating us like a piece of meat to shove around. It was bad enough when they kicked loads of loyal fans out of the LL but now they're taking it to another level. Making it mandatory for a young fan to attend if his family want to sit in the seats they've paid for.

It's like they think I'm a threat to kids if I don't have mine with me? Quite unbelievable and all on the same day they spout on about #makewestlondonours

Thanks Roller. Lets hope they see some sense for once and reverse this crazy rule they are trying to enforce.

Their definition of Family must be different to mine. Even without my U16 nephew, I'm still with my wife and my adult son. Is that not a "Family"?

I'd be staggered if TF was aware of this. I just cannot see him sanctioning any change that would result in people being turned away. Crazy.

Tony runs a bucket shop airline. Seat pricing and availability is his thing.

How much does an adult season ticket cost in the family stand?

Looks like pure stupidity to me.

I know it was a lunchtime kick off on telly, but we only got just over 16,000 for Saturday's game. That won't look good in a 40k stadium. Seems all those died in the wool, born and bred Rs who made it to Wembley were too busy in Tescos or preferred watching on telly. Last thing the club can afford to do is piss off some of those who actually pay to come and see us play teams like Stoke at stupid times of day.

The more I think about this ...it is just not feasible from their side, they will soon see this.
If a person's kid does not want to go, and they obey the rules and ask to be reseated... how can it be done even at 48 hours notice in a sellout match??
If the kid gets sick on the morning of the game, and you explain the circumstances, will the club refund you the money? I think not...but then are they prohibiting entrance to maybe 3 other people who do want to go....Legality of this???

Additionally, they are generating so much extra unnecessary work for themselves, it is simply not feasible at their end, all the coming and going.....

And WHO ARE THEY GOING TO RESELL TO...surely to get a ticket there ...you need to be a member with a kid. There will not be a lot of those.

Also as others have said...family is a place where families are together....what about single women too (not me obviously, as I am with the likely lads) but last year I sat next to a single lady at the front of the upper loft, who had been removed upwards from the lower loft, for that reason .....

I understand (I think ) that they are heavy handed trying to stop people going in on a kids ticket (I know this has been being done) and they are trying to root out offensive fans from that area.
Again doing it without any commonsense....I see this all the time in the NHS with our administrators....They have a plan, but no understanding of real-life and real people

I am sure they will back down on Wednesday.

This is a disgrace. If Tony read the above comments I am sure he would do something about it.

    Agree 100% Beth.

As a St holder in the Upper Loft obviously I am not directly involved by these actions.

However, we are all are affected by them. We must give uncondicional support to our fellow supporters on this matter. Reading how life long fans like Sussex & Ted Hendrix (LFW) etc. are being treated & are almost ready to walk away from the club they love is very upsetting.

Good luck on Wednesday roller. You may need it!

Thanks for the kind words terry, its much appreciated. In fact it pushes me on to make a stand, as it is so unjust. On some other message boards (where I'm not a poster normally, but tried to gather some support) & twitter I've not had the same response, in fact some replies were less than helpful.

I'm still worked up about what happened 4 days after the event.

    Hi Everyone,

New to this forum but post on others. I am an LSA committee member and this issue will directly affect me as I sit in the Lower Loft with my eldest son. I have emailed Andy Rees about this but have had no reply yet but I'm sure the LSA will be willing to support any protest to the club about this rule should it be necessary.

    Just read this on qprdot.org

"Club staff from Box Office, Marketing, Operations & Press have met internally today. The club will be writing to every adult Season Ticket holder in the Family Stand in due course. A group of families will be invited into Loftus Road for a meeting with club staff to discuss any outstanding issues. In the meantime, we welcome any further feedback. Please email [email protected]"

Of course if that is what the letter states then fine and I'll shut up, but if so why would they invite people to a meeting. And how do they choose whose going to be invited.

Not sure where or from who it came from, but to me it sounds like they're filling the bucket with whitewash. What they need to do is remove the ruling that an adult ST holder in the LL MUST be accompanied by a child, period.

I've just seen this on Report & MaC is stating that it came from the man himself. The one & only Ian Taylor.

As well as writing to all of you adult ST holders in the Lower loft, it would have been good if they had let you know what their current position is following their meeting.

Sussex, please see if you can be one of the families invited to discuss the issues. The last thing needed is for the club to hand select families that they know will agree to Mr Beard & Mr. taylor's every whim.

I will try terry, believe me. I also expect them to hand pick the people. I'm emailing them tonight and will ask to be invited.
