Where as I don't put much emphasis on COC a cup is a cup and both winning and losing tend to be habit forming.
McLaughlin can play and prove he's not really up to it i would agree on lovern/sahko. in fact bar flanagan i'd prob like to see that side. it'd be the best kind of thing to use the game to try out some changes like lovern, sahko, lucas together
Tonight is the milk cup 3rd round and in many previous years the big teams "rest" players and play reserves and fringe players. I hope Brendan doesnt go down this route especially after our **** start to the season. Tonight is a chance for the players to get another game under their belts with each other. Actual games are far more important in learning a system than any training ground drills. I would however drop not rest Mignolet and Gerrard. My line up would be : Jones Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno Lucas Henderson Sterling Coutinho Lambert Balotelli In a 4-1-3-2 formation. Who would you play or what formation ?

Great game for Lallana's fitness, fancy him to get a goal too. Balotelli should be playing too imo. Think BR has praised Gerrard because he will play no part tonight and there is a few stories about now asking if he should be dropped so just making sure people know he is being rested, not dropped.
