No we are good. Only 1 loss from the first 4 games and the squad has been improved immensely. Nothing to worry about.
Hard to judge form. People argue that league tables dont need producing until x many games are played. You can choose any stat but the only one that matters is table placing at 38 games.
Last season you had some people saying we were completely safe at Christmas, I just didn't understand that at all. For some reason people seem to think that none of the teams at the bottom will start winning eventually even though that happens pretty much every year.
So after yesterday's worst possible results with direct rivals beating 3 of the so called elite, following us throwing away a 2 goal lead to a rival, how do we feel now? I think come November we'll be bottom 3 with very likely zero points gained from the next 12 available and then we play perennial bogey team Burnley. I might lump on us going down.
His predictions this season are beyond a joke. I don't think he actually knows **** all about us, to be honest. Cock.
Saturday changed nothing, we brought in eleven players in the window and two of them haven't even started a game yet and could be two of the best signings we've made. Bruce still has to figure out our best starting eleven and the formation that suits them best. It's unfortunate that we haven't been able to capitalise on some easier opening fixtures, but there's plenty of time to catch up, we're only five games in ffs.
Not yet but we have thrown away 3 winning positions and ended up with draws. We haven't had any tough games yet. But the little teams seem to taking points off the big teams. Our squad does seem better. Time will tell. Best to evaluate after 10 games.
It's got nothing to do with 'moods', I'm being what i consider realistic. I said at the start of the season we needed 10 points from the first 5 and we're only just above 50% of that total. We've had a dream set of fixtures to start and our next 6 are a bloody nightmare. Do you disagree with that? Indeed, but we could easily have 6 points after 11 games. Will that be 'we're only a quarter of the way into the season, ffs'?
If we haven't figured out our best team and our best formation after a quarter of the season, then obviously we'll be in trouble.
Let's get things in perspective, we are still integrating the new signings and SB is yet to have time to settle on the best formation. Furthermore even though we have given away winning positions, this has been down to the balance of the team being more attack minded and we have seen this in the great goals scored, so SB just need to tweak things so we tighten up defensively. In addition I think it is fair to say out of the teams around us we had more away on international duty, which has restrict SB having time to blend in the new signings. The best is yet to come.
Our squad is too big UNLESS Bruce uses it to drop players that don't perform. Jury out on that one as we've not seen it yet
