Good Morning Everyone, A three nil home win against a local rival, A new Manager with some calibre, manure losing and conceding 5. Does it get much better then this? I'm sure we'll all already had our say on the above issues so, what I'd like to do it to concentrate on the difference Redders has made to the team since he took over from Hockaday, and look at how the team lined up first game of the season and compare to the team that polished off Huddersfield at the weekend Firstly, Hockaday's team v Millwall 01 Silvestri 15 Wootton 02 Byram 03 Warnock 06 Pearce 18 Tonge 04 Austin 07 Murphy 16 Ajose (Poleon - 79' ) 29 Doukara (Cook - 64' ) 10 Hunt (Smith - 58' ) Substitutes 09 Smith 12 Berardi 13 Taylor 23 Cook 25 Killock 26 Poleon 31 Benedicic Now Redders team at the weekend 01 Silvestri 03 Warnock 06 Pearce 12 Berardi Dismissed after an earlier booking 05 Bellusci Booked 23 Cook 14 Bianchi 04 Austin (Tonge - 92' ) 33 Sloth (Byram - 75' ) 34 Antenucci 29 Doukara Booked (Morison - 86' ) Substitutes 02 Byram 08 Sharp 09 Oliveira Tavares 13 Taylor 18 Tonge 19 Morison 32 Cooper I know we need to take into account that not all these players were available to Hock, but Ajose and Hunt???
Morning all. A great weekend Elland, you forgot to mention pool being hammered as well. They're my other pet hate. Fingers crossed like it's been said so often that the new man doesn't upset what readers has done. Hock seemed afraid to use the new signings. In his defence, maybe they weren't fully fit or something. Of course, maybe he hadn't a clue
Morning all, I'm no lover of Hockaday, but look at what he had available to him. 7 of yesterday's squad hadn't been signed, so it's a little unfair to make comparisons. There's no doubt that the Cock made many mistakes, but not everything was his fault. I will give him one compliment - he made a sluggish squad fitter than they've been for years. Hope we maintain this.
Afraid so. I just hope when season is over, we don't miss out on something by two or three points as the hock experiment will look a costly one
I wonder whether our teams of the past have been unfit, or just exhausted by having to continually chase the ball after they lose it....
Elland As a first step you have to get yourself a girlfriend! Not something you are likely to achieve. #achieveablegoals
Morning all, not convinced the Hock would have done any better with the current players available, of which several of them were before he left and he still didn't play them. I thought Warnock, Antenucci and Rudi were outstanding on Sat, mind you the whole team were. Seems like Redders has been a magic touch with them and hope Donnie Darko can carry on the good work.
Morning all. I don't think we're comparing lke with like looking at what the Hock did in the first game with what Redders achieved on Saturday. Our first game was a chance for all the new players to get used to each other. By Saturday, we had a fairly settled squad with many of tne newbies starting to gel with those who've been here for a while. In both cases, both Managers had us playing decent footy. So let's not completely diss the Hock's efforts. But let's hope when our 3rd Manager of the season starts, he takes plenty of advice from Redders and builds on what he has achieved. Great results this wekend. We've done the Carlsberg jokes already. But seeing little old ManUre losing 5-3 after being 3-1 up and not a hairdryer in sight. Heyho.
Good morning - I am sure Ross will have put in a good word If we are doing Carlsberg weekends, I would add we resumed our natural place above Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii as they plummet towards oblivion, they are dire - and I know I am right because thats why the level of noise from sarf laaarnden has diminished so
