Missed the last vote but I'm going for Tash on this one. It's taken me two rounds of votes to fully understand the game

I'm going to take the same route as Less Hope and confirm that I too am just a MI5 agent with no superior powers. I would suggest that not too many more MI agents take this route though as it'd be easier for the KGB to start picking us off.

 

Only KGB can PM. Is this slip of the tongue equal to a confession?

 

According to the rules of the game, the KGB already know who they are - so by simple elimination they know who the rest of us are. All they don't know is which of us has special powers.

I think my choice is correct in regard to this. I'll say no more than that.

 

This is most intriguing. How can else somebody have PMd you - AND you totally believe them already - if you're not KGB? Equally, why reveal this openly and raise suspicions? It's either a true master stroke from an espionage genius, or a complete schoolboy error. Problem is, I'm way too daft to tell which.

For now, I vote BRS - if only to see what others do...

 

It is possible for an MI6 agent to get a PM from JPF in response to an enquiry for information. I have three big problems with this though.

Firstly: Why reveal you have had a PM but not reveal you are an MI6 agent? The KGB would know you were MI6 if you've had a PM and they already know you are not one of them. The only alternative is that you are one of the KGB who can PM.

Secondly: Another possibility is that you have been notified that you have been converted to KGB.

Thirdly: Assuming you are British intelligence then you give the impression in your post that DMW is KGB, without explicitly saying so (though why you wouldn't want to say so explicitly is difficult to see - possibly being subversive though). If DMW is KGB this raises some serious questions,

Did the KGB **** up on the first night? Until my intervention (I'll come to that in a bit) DMW was on his way out. Why didn't the other KGB vote for Indestructible to protect him? Even after I changed my vote it still left it as a tie, so there was a 50/50 chance that DMW would go. More to the point, whatever side he is on, why didn't DMW vote for indy to protect himself? Perhaps they just weren't able to get to the comp for nine? It was Saturday night after all.

If DMW is KGB then I think it is likely that at least some attempt to save him would have happened. So who voted for Indy? I did. In fact it was my last minute intervention that saved DMW by making it a tie between him and Indy. I know I did it to try and provoke a reaction with it being a tie - but nobody else (except the KGB) can know that was my reason. I have to be a suspect. The other people who voted for him were Tash, Trev...and BRS (admittedly before he received his info). IF BRS is telling the truth then this would raise suspicions about Tash & Trev too.

Overall though, it seems unlikely that the KGB would have risked losing 20% of their number on the first night without putting up more of a fight.

All very intriguing.
