Seriously, how can anyone think that wasn't a dive. Any credibility you had recovered the last few years has just been shat off, Andy. You clearly haven't seen it on the TV. Having said that, at first glance there didn't seem to be any contact whatsoever either. We won't even mention the bodycharge just before which was ridiculous. It's the sort of thing the big Premier ****er Teams do, not small Championship like Leicester. You should be better than that. Have a word with old box head, will ya.
Brady got hammered on here last season for going down easy against West Ham. Vardy obviously dived and anyone who denies it is a idiot.
Yes .. but he's OUR **** ,,, he takes a hell of a lot too mind .. as you might expect I'm chuffed to bits ... thanks Mr Klattenberg, very decent of you to give us 5 goals against Man United
There are players on every team who dive, we shouldn't condone it and managers have to help stamp it out. It's the ref who gives the penalty though Aside from that, Leicester were magnificent, they deserved to win, they played together and Man U made errors. Leicester are much better than people think
I thought Vardy went down easily, but the silly **** in this instance was Rafael (a lad who's played regular Champions League football over the years, let's not forget) getting firstly muscled off the ball, and then thoroughly sucked in inside the box. As soon as he was past him, all he could do was try to get in front of him to stop a shot/cross, touching him was game over. And he did. Stupid defending, made it easy for Vardy. Can't really blame him for going down, the refs are more or less pointing to the spot with their cocks in situations like that, they're so desperate to give it. Don't blame the striker, blame the state of the game and the standard of refereeing these days.
Not surprisingly I agree with you,... apart from putting 5 (I repeat 5) goalls past a Man United side containing, Falcao, van Persie, Rooney, Di Maria, Mata, Blind, Rojo and De Gea we have now drawn with Arsenal and Everton, beaten Stoke away and given Chelsea their hardest test so far this season ... each of which is solely down to the generosity of referees that have obviously succumbed to the attractions of a post-match lady-boy promise by our owners ...
If we managed a similar score against Man Utd I think this forum would be ecstatic but I think Jamie Carragher got it right when he said Utd haven't bought any decent defenders but spent a fortune elsewhere. Which is a similar thing Utd did when everyone was talking about the famous forward line of the day, you know the one, Best, Law, Charlton, Kidd, Aston/Morgan, but they had a defence that creaked like an old barn door. Noel Cantwell and Maurice Setters were stalwarts but old, John Fitzpatrick and Steve James were not exactly solid, they had Johnny Giles but he soon left for Leeds Utd which left Nobby Stiles. He was then supplemented by the like of David Sadler and Ian Ure (from Arsenal) for a while, Paddy Crerand hung on but the whole lot was more or less cleared out when Tommy Docherty arrived.
Man U won't win the PL this season with that defence, Van Gaal will spend again in january but that will be too late
I'd hold Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness, Alan Smith and Gary Neville's opinions in a higher regard than yours. And that's not me taking a dig at you.
How about Van Gaal himself? "Van Gaal refused to criticise referee Mark Clattenburg for awarding the penalty against Rafael even though the Brazilian was fouled by Vardy in the build up. 'It was only 3-2 at the time, that was not a problem,' he said. 'The problem was we did not keep ball possession.' ... not surprisingly perhaps, I tend to agree...
Just ignore em fosse they're only jealous. If it was one of ours going down like that against Man U it would be the most 100% pen ever. I did a thread on Shane Long last season saying, I dont give a **** if he's one of ours its wrong" didnt get any support. Great result for ya today.
@Carra23: “@LouisCrawford10: @Carra23 what did you think of the penalty decision today? ( Leicester's 1st )” Joke.
I've not for a second said anything about the result. I questioned some of the opinions of Leicester being a "class a part" and anybody and their dog can see the pen which turned the game around was soft. The result is nothing short of fantastic.
Cheers Chaz .. must say I;ve been slightly bemused by some of the posts on this thread ,,, if we'd beaten you boys 1-0 because Vardy took a dive then I might understand it ... but we've put 5 goals past Man United and still can't get any credit from some of your boys ... mind you they are spot on re AKCJ ... who knows I'm kiddin' by the way
