I thought it was a meme, hence why I asked and my misspelling was deliberate! HOWEVER You know what? The Vikings are more than just one player. There's loads of great players.... Smith, Patterson, Cassell (sometimes when he isn't shooting himself in the foot with a blunderbuss), etc.... So I'm not giving up the Superb Owl dream just yet!
Yeah, it's why I never bought into the whole "Vikings are playing Peterson because he's good" argument. They were somewhat rebuilding and getting rid of Patterson frees up a massive amount of cap room. Secretly, I think they would have loved to have traded Peterson but they couldn't because of who he was. They seem to be high on McKinnon and now they get to use him. I do think they will be a worse team this year, but in the end I think they may very well end up better off.
