Would be cracking news, and the squad is looking stronger, defence to bolster still. We just need to keep the prem boys away till xmas at least.

To be honest, and I know I have nothing to back this up with, I think that Nicky's agent has been pushing his buttons, telling him to hold out in case some Premier League club comes up with a good, big-money deal for him. I think that Maynard will know all too well what happens to players that put in a transfer request for a Premier League club when there is no interest there, and Nicky Maynard can do far far worse than continue to play for us. If I were Millen I'd realise that the ball was in his court and see if Nicky will add another year to his new contract to stop this from happening again.

Seems a little desperate that you put that on your website. Coventry put on their that Marlon King has signed a new contract and a week later he signed for Birmingham

Until he has signed i wont take anything for granted, He seems to be hanging it out so that he does not get priced out of a prem move. I dont think anyone in the championship will pay what city would want

    That's because you've overpriced him.

Nobody will pay 5m for him when they can get him for 1/2m in January.

Keith will end up accepting anything over 3m.

I know it sounds harsh, because he is quality and, if he had more than a year on his contract and had played more games last season, he'd be well worth 5m.

    But Football is business nowadays.

What indications has Nicky given on staying?

He hasn't came out and told the press that has he?

He has probably just turned up for his first day back at training, that's all.

I'm sorry, but you see this all the time, managers always try and get the best price for their players.

That's what Keith is doing (and doing it well I might add) because of the reasons I said above. He isn't worth 5m despite his obvious quality because it is a risk.

I wish you lot well this season, but if you were in Nicky's shoes would you rather pick promotion favourites or mid table obscurity?

There are a lot of good teams this season, all the teams coming down will be up there, the teams coming up look strong, those who missed out will also be back again.

Although. I hate to admit it, but we will buy promotion is season if needs be. We are desperate to get there, but not that desperate. We are already looking at CMS, Nugent ect.

Mate, nobody wants to come to you.

Despite your preposterous notions of grandeur, CMS will go to West Ham. If you want Maynard you will have to pay what we want for him. if he does go for 1/2m in Jan it would 100% definitely not be to you, would it?

I have been told nm will only go to a premiership side this has come from the man himself .-I have told the foxes this but they still think they r going to sign him.Listen to KM words carefully no premiership side has come in or made a offer for nm. This is what will trigger a move, unless this happens nm will stay a bcfc player.

Well considering we are favourites to sign him and even Peterborough officials have said that CMS will probably sign for us, I am quietly confident.

Sideways? No mate. I dont think you can call a double pay rise and chane of promotion a 'sideways move'.

Then we will see, but if no Premier League club comes in I full expect him to leave.

Probably bigger than you lot still though.

Apparently CMS was made to feel more welcome in Brighton so he probably bats for the other team..

So anyway, expect an improved bid for Maynard coming soon.

Matt Mills, Wayne Routledge, NickyMaynard and David Nugent.

Shaping up to be a fine week.

    No he wont!

Cant see him going to Leicester though. (well maybe if he has no ambition and they pay the correct amount)

    no ambition?

Were doing everything in our power to get promoted and when we are there the owners are going to do a lot of spending.

They will want Wuropean football within 4 years or so. Plus we are planning on increasing the capacity up to 45k.

So if that's not ambitious from a club that was in League 1 in 2009 thn I don't know what is.

Look mate, you seem quite a nice guy, but it's all if and buts.

His career could be almost over by the time you do all that, how many times have clubs tried to buy success and failed miserably, it does not happen overnight! ( Cardiff and Man city, and Qpr are springing straight to mind) You are counting a lot of chickens way too soon to me.

Maynard will be gone from us soon and if anyone pays the asking price they will get him, maybe you, but you will have to pay that price!
