Don't know if someones already said, but apparently Newcastles medical staff warned Pardew against playing Cisse. Ffs Pardew, why can't you listen ? Twat !
im absolutely sick of lesster looking a much much better team than we are oh while i write this 4-3 vardy...
I remember that game (it was one that David Rocastle played in for us and City did quite well but lost 2-0) - I seem to recall a really good City following that night though.
Because Spurs are irrelevant to us, while those three points WBA have picked up could be the difference in May. We can't simply assume we'll stay up comfortably, even if we think it's likely.
It's still September, we're 5 games in, there's only a need to worry if we were challenging for the title. As we're targetting a midtable finish, we should just be focusing on picking up our own points, rather than what other teams are doing at the moment. Worry about the table in 3 months time.
Vardy fouled Blackett, it should never have been a penalty or a sending off and the other penalty was well dodgy, so they were very lucky, but they did play well.
Probably the memory playing tricks then. Or maybe I was just feeling lonely. Funny what you remember. I had a pint in the Black Garter down Clayton Street beforehand. Possibly the worst ever pub I've been in, in my life. The toilets were in the cellars and had torn out photos from Razzle and Fiesta on the walls. The thing is though, they were framed. I remember thinking who in their right mind would frame a torn out picture from a grumble mag? You are right about the game though. Lost 2-0 but gave a really good account of ourselves.
Reason I remember the City support being so good was because tickets seemed quite hard to come by - my brother is a season ticket holder up there though (I know!!!!!) and I had to sit with him.
