Good even game but it's West Brom's poor finishing and excellent defending from Lescott that have kept it 0-0. Not good from our point of view, we know we're not great but we brought pressure on oursleves with some poor passes and losing the ball in our own half. Need Dier and Lamela to build up a better understanding as they're not working together quickly enough. We should be looking to get the ball forward quicker at times anyway but West Brom are giving us a game and deserve credit.
at the beginning the commentators said we have the luxury of two teams can we put that second team on in the second half? or are they going to be just as bad as the 'first' team I have seen nothing to suggest we will do well this season it is the same tedious stuff as avb and Sherwood. and can someone smack demebele round the head and tell him to stop trying to dribble the entire opposition.. a long season awaits
Should we start laying into Adebayor so he scores or can the crowd start shouting '' there's only one Avb '' to get Adebayor fired up.
Adebayor wasn't great, by any means, but the whole team were poor. Capoue and Dembele were just about ok and Lloris did his job, but everyone else looked all over the shop.
It's nice to know that West Brom got the Premier League memo about fouling Lamela whenever he's threatening. Beats one, gets pushed off the ball. Pretty standard. Then he goes for about 50 stepovers.
Why are we having so much trouble dealing with ****ty long balls into the corners? Simple stuff and we're making it look hard.
I have tickets to the next 2 matches at whl...forest and basiktas...I decided not to go today as it was after a euro match...boy am I glad! So poor from us today...wba lack confidence yet deserve to be winning and look far more likely to win than us. I seriously fear for us v the goons next week...they must be well confident of a comfortable win next week
Villas-Boas has won all eight of his league games this season, IIRC. Started last season with good results too, though.
Berahino absolutely strolling around Chiriches. Decent stop by Lloris. Started the second half as we did the first. Poor. Lots of aimless, overhit crosses into their box in response.
Decent bit of passing and possession, then we give it away and the break takes them into our box in seconds. Berahino's finding this so easy.
