This is all very well, but we need to score now.

  3. Tottenham are being kept honest by West Brom so far, the visitors have made a very decent opening.

We've totally lost any cohesion and are now randomly giving the ball away with long passes for no apparent reason.
The nervousness at the back seems to have spread throughout the side.

Tony Gale's borrowed Niall Quinn's 'laxadaisical' comment from yesterday! <laugh>
    Disturbingly accurate, unfortunately.

West Brom claiming a handball from their latest corner. Hard to tell, but I didn't spot it immediately if there was one.
Hits Adebayor, but he doesn't know anything about it. Unnatural position, possibly.

We're playing terribly at the moment. All over the place at the back and offering no threat up front.
No meaningful possession and we look rushed whenever we're on the ball.

Berahino has the ball in the net, but he's offside. Nobody picked up the guy he put the ball into the box and the cross wasn't dealt with, either.

Such a poor first half, so far. Dire performance and we're lucky not to be behind.

WBA have the ball in the net but its JUST offside.

Kaboul is all at sea and Chiriches is lost without a dominant CB alongside him.

Off side against WBA, but that's a warning, right there.

    Only "typical" since last season.
If Pochettino is incapable of reading the riot act at HT and getting it sorted, why employ him ??

Nice break. Dier long to Chadli to Eriksen and a shot deflected behind by Lescott, who's been very good.
Corner results in a free header, which is wasted.

Atmosphere absolutely dead by the sound of it too. Periods of total silence.

Eriksen with a few attempted crosses. First hits his man, second hits his man's arm, then the third should be put away.
Two players miss it completely and it's an open goal.
    Better stuff, though.
HT called when we're finally doing something. No stoppage time at all, which is a bit odd.

Really ****e first half. All over the place at the back and lacking penetration up front.

Pochettino needs to flay these players at HT. We're getting out-pressed by WBA, who are also defending much better and attacking faster. The pretty passing is fine but it needs to be done quickly to move the well organised WBA players around so we can find gaps. And when we attack and we have the defence retreating, even just on the half-turn, the likes of Ade, Lamela and Chadli need to be busting a gut to get in the channels and out wide between the defenders so we can slip balls down the channels and get off shots and crosses.
