We need more Flannel type players, that play for the shirt. Players can put in a terrible shift, maybe have to put up with a 10 minute 'constructive criticism' session after the match then go out tomorrow and spend £240,000 on an imported Ferrari. Dock their wages I say, all of it.
I do actually think its something else. No doubt he is a loss to the team but there is a lot more wrong than simply losing him tbh.

Gerrard under par again. We really should have looked for a replacement last summer. Deserved win by west ham. Never got started. We were utterly toothless. The only threat came from sterling.
It's same issue as last year, tinkering with everything but the actual problem in midfield. Suarez and Sturridge merely masked that problem last year....barely masked despite our league position. We are trying to play systems and styles that can not work with immobility centrally. Everyone's so busy doing 1 and half jobs they're doing both poorly. It's why I'm laughing at criticism of transfers. We could buy a hundred players and they'd still all be handicapped by being someone else's legs and discipline.......
