McGregor call pull enormous saves but he manages to cock up on the easiest things. 1st goal never should have been and put them back in the game.
McGregor is ****e. Too erratic, too unpredictable, too inconsistent. He's definitely by far the weakest link in our team.
We should revert to 3-5-2 against Man City. McGregor Chester Dawson Davies Elmohamady Diame Huddlestone Ramirez Robertson Jelavic Hernandez
I'm not having a pop at Dawson just pointing out we have had one clean sheet and one win with Chester in defence. My point is those two are now un droppable and Chester is unjustifiably paying the price
Agree totally about Mcgregor. I think the rest will come with time. We need to gel more as a unit. we have the talent, we just need to find a way to fit it all in.
I bloody love Robertson, but all the hype with him is over the top. He isn't great defensively, though he can only get better.
They deserved to come back on play alone, but it shouldn't happen when we were 2 - 0 up with 15 minutes to go. A resilient team like Southampton killed them off and put the game to bed, we didn't. That says more about us than Newcastle.
Well as disappointing it was to lose a 2-0 lead, at least we still have a level goal difference and seeing how our defence was in the last two games I'll take that. Like some others have said, Chester should come back into the defence, particularly against the Blue Mancs with a three central defence.
McGreogor and the goalkeeping position in General is our weakest position. I can't see us needing any signings in January but in an ideal world a new decent keeper would be the priority. I have no confidence with him in goal and that was the impression of the people around me watching the game today.
So, has Brucey failed his interview at Newcastle today? I'd like to think so. We need him here. We needf a different defensive plan for next week.
I just don't get all the hype about Quinn. Fair enough he is a battler but he just doesn't have the skills a Or quality. Especially when there are better players on the bench. Brady offers more in defence, attack, quality and cover for Robertson.
