I think there is just a lot of competition for his spot and he is still young and new to the squad. I bet he plays in the league cup against Swansea.
Hopefully Campbell can prove wenger wrong in the cup. I rather have him come in than podolski. Anyway, nice with a win!
*Southampton. Expecting a changed squad. Ospina Bellerin Hayden Kos Nacho/Gibbs Flamini Jack Rosicky Oxo Podolski Campbell
Shame we didn't push on and try and get another - but a very nice win, always in control after the goals went in and nice to see Welbeck and Ozils link up play. Nice to see Cazorla back as well...
Comfortable win in the end, dominated possession, won the ball back quickly, a clean sheet and 3 goals for the GD. Good result. Ozil is my man of the match, he is in a class of his own. Chambers is raw but such a talent, really pleased to have him in the squad.
Fair play to Ozil and Ramsey. I slated them for their form lately but they stepped it up today. Hope their comeback to form continues. Invincibles 2.0 is still on.
I hope we see that team - it's got a nice look about it and they'll all be itching for gametime. The one obvious weakness is Hayden though...
Hayden is untested but AW seems to rate him and he's captained Arsenal at all youth levels so he has potential.
Woops! Southampton, knew it started with an s! I think your team may be close to what we play but possibly with less changes to the back line.
Monreal is injured, no way to play Kos in this game right before we play Spurs, and also no way to play Wilshere. I'd play: Ospina, Bellerin, Hayden, Coquelan, LB some youth, Diaby, OXO, Rosicky, Campbell, Podolski, Sanogo
Forgot about Diaby. Put him in for Jack. Coq could slot in at LB if we really don't want to play Gibbs
We barely have any defenders, have no other CB's than Kos and Mert, no way to risk Kos for this cup game when we have Spurs-Galatasary-Chelsea coming up. With our bare thin defence, this is what we're going to have to do, playing something like Hayden-Coq as CB's in a Capital Cup game.
Could play Flamini LB. Anyways, lol all this shows how dire our defensive options are, what a bloody joke.
I'd go for: Bellerin--chambers--Kosc--Gibbs/coquelin Chambers is young enough to play the games in a row, Kosc usually plays cup games, maybe Hayden will step in for him though. Gibbs will probably play as monreal is out.
The same was true last year and we played either Kos and Mert or just one of them in all/most cup games.
