Some people my right rip my head off here but I think it's Bruce and Chezzy we are missing, more so Bruce junior... He grafts and although in terms of quality he's dogged at times he brings a great deal of leadership in the dressing room and the pitch.

What we have to remember is that we're playing a new formation, completely different tactics/roles for players and we have new players.

We're clicking in terms of attack, but in terms of defending not so.

Because he isn't good enough to influence a game.

Burnsy described it as feeling like a defeat. He's right. We should have been comfortable at 2-0. Anybody know what's going wrong with the defence?

Good point on the whole but disappointing after scoring 2 goals again. Newcastle played well and created quite a few chances and we scored some wonder goals. So it should be high on MoTD. A point from a game where the opposition needed a win isn't too bad.

It is when you're 2-0 up with fifteen minutes to go, against a club in turmoil and whose fans - or at least a sizable portion thereof - wanted us to win just to put more pressure on their ****house manager.

    You thick twat.

2 massive points dropped today, just like against the Spammers. Jelavic's goal was a blinder and Diame is an absolute beast. I thought Quinn played quite well overall, despite his ridiculous Lucky Charms beard. Should be on 10 points now. Why no Chester? Really need to give Palace a good spanking, and hope we can claw something out of the Mancs.

So if we'd been a goal down and then equalised, you wouldn't have taken it? Newcastle were all over us pretty much the whole game, had they taken their chances we'd have been in trouble. Two bits of magic got us out of a hole, but given the pressure Newcastle were putting us under, it was only a matter of time until they scored.

Chester needs to be in that defense, Dawson and Davies seem too similar and haven't conjured up a good partnership yet.

Elmohamady seems more solid in at right back this season but Rosenior would still offer more defensively.

Sorry, but that really is a ****ty excuse for getting a draw when we were 2 - 0 up with 15 minutes to go.

This was a good point for Newcastle, but not for us.

Disappointing not to win but before the game started I would have taken a draw so its hard to be to upset by a 2-2 scoreline.

Yeh the defence was bad all game I agree, I had no faith we would stop them scoring. Doesn't make me feel any better.

Probably be 1st on MOTD. BBC pundits reckon it was a fighting performance from Newcastle and they deserved a point. From our viewpoint being 2-0 up and only drawing is a poor result and we need to sort the defence out - get Chester back in there. Haven't seen their 1st goal - was Mcgregor at fault?

Looking at the first five games... QPR, Stoke, Villa, West Ham, Newcastle. All 5 very winnable games. I would expect a bare minimum 7 points from that lot, and we come away with 6.

Hopefully we can pick up some bonus points against the Mancs.

We threw it away against a team with no confidence at the bottom of the league.

Given Brucie keeps telling us about the depth now in the squad, I don't understand how Livermore and Huddlestone can keep their places on their current form.
